Casablanca Inn - Hotel in San Clemente - 1601 N El Camino Real, USA

It's probably a 3-4 star tops, but it suited my purpose and I have zero complaints. Something was going on at my home locally, so I needed to stay at the hotel for 2 nights. Front desk people super nice, loved #218 with a private balcony. Furniture is old with lots of scratches but it didn't matter - I just thought the whole hotel was renovated - apparently not. Excellent location for those traveling. Breakfast was decent, plenty of choices. My room was quiet. Didn't use the pool however, I did see it and it was fine. Used the gym, small but very effective. Parking can be tight if you have a big vehicle, but that's typical of our area. If I needed to, I would stay here again.

Booked a room here due to us attending a wedding in San Clemente. The room we received was beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly! The hotel is located in a great area. They were super accommodating to us, and made sure we were well taken care of. I will definitely be booking here again when we come back to San Clemente!

First, the hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and a brewery around the corner. The rooms are average, but what is the average is their service. My wallet was left behind, someone's worst nightmare, but Kevin and his team really pit me at ease. They safeguarded it and was very communicative. Even though they were busy, Kevin went out of his way to mail back my wallet. Definitely will be staying here again and recommend it to friends. Thanks again!!!

I recently stayed at Casablanca Inn hotel and had a very disappointing experience. During my stay, the hotel staff threw away some of my personal items without my permission. This was extremely upsetting and unacceptable, as I had important belongings that were discarded without any prior notice or attempt to contact me. As a guest, I expect my personal items to be respected and handled with care. Unfortunately, this incident has left me with a negative impression of the hotel’s management and their attention to customer service. I hope the hotel can take this feedback seriously and ensure that future guests do not experience the same issue. Until these practices are addressed, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Please be aware of the room type you are booking! We booked a regular queen room through their website and the room we got checked into was completely different from what we expected from the photos (see attached photos). We talked to the front desk, but they insisted that we would have to pay the extra price for the deluxe room. The room was not great, felt swampy, and the AC did not work very well. The hotel needs to double check their website and update the correct photos to match the correct room types. Otherwise, guests will be paying for false advertising.

Fantastic hotel with nearby access to public transportation. We didn’t need to drive anywhere! The room was very updated and clean. From check-in to check-out the staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions. Will return very soon 🙂

Pros: The employees were all kind and accommodating and kind The beds and pillows were very nice It was a short walk from here to the beach The pool was heated and the hot tub was nice Cons: We booked through a discount website so didn't know that the breakfast room was being renovated. The grab and go breakfast was fine but we were sad we didn't get to try the waffles we read about in so many reviews (especially since it was my kid's birthday and that was what he wanted). The construction noise was loud but not unreasonable. We upgraded to a balcony room but it was raining and the balcony was soaked so we couldn't use it and the view was blocked by the building, so I wouldn't book a balcony room again but we would definitely stay here again!.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights but had to leave after the first night! Everything was damp and wet. Even the bedsheets felt damp due to the amount of moisture in the room! Bathroom toilet was leaking water on the floor, tub was rusty and they painted over mold on ceiling and lights! Carpet was swampy, rippled and wet by the bathroom/sink area and even the pictures on the wall had water ripples in them behind the glass! My daughter had unpacked her clothes into the dresser under the TV (for less than 12hrs) and we had to dry them because they were all damp!! The only good thing was the location and service from the employees! Super nice and accommodating people and this review has nothing to do them! We are not picky people as long as the place is clean and usually you get what you pay for but this was crazy! Cannot believe this place got 3 stars.
