We stayed four nights and had a wonderful time! Such a beautiful view of the ocean and the pier from the balcony. Great location to walk out and enjoy the beautiful San Clemente Beach. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming again.

Amazing Location 5 Stars - The staff was very nice at check in. It really wasnt' a problem for us, but it should say NO AC when booking, I can see it being a problem during a heat wave staying here. Definitely paying for the location here. The interior is very outdated, only half of the fridge stayed cold.

I grew up in Laguna Beach, a block from the beach. I know what a beach town should be and what a beach hotel should feel like. Casa Tropicana has it all. We love it so much that it has now become our yearly family vacation spot. Great staff, hotel and location! Definitely recommend for a beachy, quaint and local stay.

It was a lot of money for a POS room. Seriously, the patio, location and clean bedding was it. But two nights at a total of $775.00 was absolutely a rip off. I'll never get over the over charge and won't be back!

Misery. Location great and that is all. Horrible music blasting constantly. Running up and down above us. Bed lumpy. I can’t sleep due to this damn noise. Can’t wait for morning to leave. Noise from multiple areas. So regret this last night of vacation.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The location and view is absolutely unbeatable and was magical to say the least. The smell in the room was so rancid and smelled like cat pee. We could hardly spend any time in the room except to sleep because of the smell. The room was nowhere near our standards for the price.

Don't stay here if you what to be kept up till 3am in the morning. There is a bar directly below the hotel that plays loud music till 3am in the morning. I made a call to the hotel and they said that they would call the bar and see if they will lower the music. That didn't work! So I called the police, they said that they would send a patrol car by to see if they can get them to lower the music. They also said that if they had a permit there would be nothing they could do. There is also a railroad between the hotel and the pier that goes by aprox. ever hour through late evening, with warning bells ever time it passes and starts up at 5:30am in the morning. Also when I checked out the girl at the front desk said that she was sorry for the noise and she would talk to her manager about it. It has been 2 days and I have not heard anything from anybody. Sounds like they have plenty of business and are not worried about customers returning to their hotel or telling others to go there. Again you can do what you want, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We adored this spot you cannot beat the view and location. They are open 9 to 5 so you won't be able to speak with anyone before or after that time. We were still able to get an early check in and the rep was gracious enough not to charge us. We stayed in Casa Del Sol. It didn't have a beach view buy the jacuzzi tub made up for it. Stayed here 2 nights definitely smaller rooms good for 2 adults willing to share a bed. Lots of food and drinks walking distance. Great common space areas too to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
