Arrived late and key and car parking tag were left for us. The next morning we went to check in it was quick front desk staff was amazing. I'd like to give a special thank you to Sandy for making our staff better than expected. I booked through another site then call the hotel and they upgraded me to a beautiful ocean view suite which was absolutely lovely. The resort is clean, well taken care of, the unit was very nicely appointed with everything that you need. The beach is amazing, lounge chairs, chairs, umbrellas and beach toys for the kids are provided. They thought of it all. Thank you for a wonderful stay and thank you to Sandy for making it happen. This quaint resort is within a 10 minute casual stroll to everything you need in "Time Square" We walked there on the beach and on the sidewalk and it was all just lovely

We booked a room at the Casa Playa resort as a last minute trip before the arrival of our son. We arrived to smiling faces and an incredibly helpful staff. Our room was very clean and a perfect place to hang our hats after a day at the beach. Grant was wonderful and always available to check out bicycles in the mornings. The day we checked out, we had hours to kill until our flight and we greatly appreciate Francesca H. for suggesting we hang out and relax by the pool until we had to leave. Thank you Casa Playa for hosting us!

Im going to break down the stay separately to make it better to understand. ||||Staff: 3/5 stars: Friendly and courteous. However, it seems a few of them have been hamstrung by mamagement. After we realized that more than half of the umbrellas provided by Casa Playa were broken, we were told by a nice gentlemen that worked there that "the company" refuses to buy new ones and if he were to buy them, "the company" would not reimburse him. The cleaning staff would hold the elevator at the floor they were working on, which made it impossible for others to use. See more below. ||||Facility: 2/5 stars: The room was cool and the bed was a 6/10. However, the room just felt dirty. The dishwasher door was falling off, numerous pieces of trim had fallen from the wall and laid in their place. Very low water pressure in the shower, to the point where my wife couldnt rinse soap out of her hair. Also, there is no cleaning service unless you stay for 4 or more days. Seems odd to me. We had to go to the front office for additional towels and wash clothes. The elevator was constantly "out of order". There is only one. So, it was the stairs for us (and probably all of the other guests too). Again, the same nice gentleman who mentioned the umbrellas said he was unsure when repairs would be made. ||||Overall cleanliness: 1/5: Just felt dirty. Our room had a weird smell to it. The available beach furniture was mostly broken and not at all maintained. ||||Location 3/5: Close to the beach. 5-10 minute walk from entertainment and restaurants. ||||Overall, I have to give Casa Playa a 2/5. Price per night was much too high for the quality of hotel.

Last year, we took our young kids on their first trip to the beach. We all had such a wonderful time! This is a perfect location on a calm, quiet beach. We are going again this year and staying at Casa Playa again. We had some issues finding affordable flights this year and needed to modify our reservation. Franchesca and Ed provided excellent customer service over the phone, and made it very easy to adjust our stay so that we could line up more affordable flights. We are thankful and really looking forward to our stay!

Our 11th visit to Casa Playa and our last. A new management company has taken over the resort and the prices have skyrocketed and the care of the building and customers has gone down. Asked for a lower floor as the elevator often is not working--yes--that happened--we are old and were on the 7th floor. Not a good thing. No hot water in the bathroom for four days--and the bathroom sink did not drain when brushing teeth. Remedy was to take the plug out -- but Grant did clean out something and we had hot water. We stayed 10 nights and never had a change of sheets. Yes, new towels every two days--finally after six nights I asked for sheets and changed my own!! We did receive a little back on the four days we were without water. The units need updating. A bit of paint does not do it. (You can put lipstick on a pig and you still have a pig) Now charging an $18 resort fee for use of the pool, a towel and a chair on the beach. It got cold and we started the heater only to have the smoke alarms go off as they were full of dust. Yes, Grant again cleaned them out--but that should have been generally done when fall arrived. We truly loved this place. Small, friendly, great beach that is not crowded and on a quiet end of the island. Yancy and Grant are under paid for what they have to do--and they are the nice ones!! Things have changed. Never once was there an apology for not having hot water, non working heater, walking 7 flights of staris - it's all about the money. Sad--but demand is there for small units on the island and they are rented out--although one couple complained and got a full refund and moved to another hotel. I did visit with other long time guests who feel the same way. Be nice--apologize--make it right when something does not work. Oh, and change the sheets after a week!

Two adults, two teens. Great location within walking distance of the main square area. Free bikes are a great perk. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a little trouble with one of the grills, but may have been operator error. The second grill worked fine. Waterfront view on fifth floor was ideal for sunsets. Not a long drive to mini golf, Corkscrew Nature Preserve, Sanibel Island. Saw several manatees at Lovers Key State Park. Good trip.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Casa Playa Resort. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They provided beach chairs and umbrellas and even had bicycle rentals. They offered us complimentary adult beverages for the beach! The hotel is located a few blocks down from the main strip , which was great if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. Resort is just minutes away from more of a nightlife/party environment. Perfect location. Highest f recommendations !

We booked this resort with high hopes. Beach front location, great reviews, on the small side (only 35 units) so it wouldn't be crowded. We weren't looking for much. A nice week on the beach with a place to lay our heads at night. For almost $3200.00 for one week, we did not get anywhere near our money's worth at this location. ||||4 days before we were due to arrive, I got my confirmation email with THE WRONG DATES. Cue the panic attack. I called the courtesy number and the nice woman on the phone couldn't figure out what had happened but my reservation had changed. I emailed her my original confirmation and she agreed that the dates were different (off by a day) and tried to "fix it" but my dates were no longer available. Not wanting to be stuck in FL with nowhere to stay, she booked us in another room for another $461 dollars. I was beside myself but not angry with her, just upset that this happened and that no one could tell me why. 20 minutes later, our original dates magically became available and were were slotted back in. I was a ball of anxiety until we arrived.||||Room (suite??) 504 was in sad shape. The shower had hair in it, the slider barely stayed on the tracks and the toilet kept running until my husband fixed it.||The postings on the walls said housekeeping was only done every other day and only if you stayed for 4 days or more. Okay, no problem. On day 5, my husband asked at the office if our sheets were ever going to be changed? We got new towels and the trash emptied and that was the extent of the housekeeping. Kinda sandy by this point. They said no, sorry, no staffing. They handed him sheets. Yup, over 400 dollars a night and we changed the sheets ourselves. We aren't looking for high end treatment but to be given sheets and told to do it yourself at 400 dollars a night, well, we were less than impressed.||||The only saving grace is the location. 1/2 mile walk to Times Square.
