Casa Laguna is a beautiful jewel in Laguna! Nestled in the hills overlooking the ocean, it is the perfect get away. Beautifully designed rooms and grounds, with comfortable beds and excellent amenities. (fresh hot cookies in the afternoon :) ) A fun and attentive staff. I wanted to keep it a secret.... but had to share what an amazing stay I had. The best choice for a weekend in Laguna!
We found this beautiful hotel as we were passing through the area - so glad that we didn’t miss this opportunity to be pampered! The grounds are so pretty and the room decor was amazing. Quite possibly the most cozy bed ever and lush robes made the experience special. The staff was very accommodating from check in to check out. Nice extras including a welcome drink and a yummy breakfast. Parking was a little tricky, but well worth it! We didn’t have time for spa services, but hope to return for a longer stay. This hotel is definitely a hidden gem!
Relaxing, calm, scenic, just a few words to describe Casa Laguna Hotel. So many nooks and crannies to get lost in and relax in quiet peace. There's a heated pool and hot tub and more than a dozen patio tables and furniture tucked away in out of the way places to sit and sip to your hearts content. Our room view overlooked the hotel and the ocean. The breakfast selection was just right for eating there or taking on the road. The staff were friendly and informative and just close enough for convenience but out of sight to feel as if you had the place all to yourself.
My gal friend and I had wonderful experiences. All staff members are kind and helpful. We were very happy to see Gluten-Free choices for breakfast and enjoy herbal tea and glass of wine in the evenings. We traveled by free trolley--very convenient (stops in front of hotel.) My spa treatment by Pavla was divine! One highlight of our stay: watching the sunset at Virginia Beach (approachable only by foot/short walk from Casa Laguna Hotel.) Entire property including pool is clean. | --Jeanine Brooks, Los Alamos, California |
Because I had a long weekend, I decided to take an impromptu trip from Vegas. This place was exactly as customers described. It was charming. I would also describe it as cozy and quaint, and I absolutely LOVED it! It didn't feel as if I were in California near the beach at all. It felt like I was in Italy . You have the best of both worlds. The view of the beach, and that quaint environment. The vibe was personable , family oriented, and left me wanting more!
I usually book modern or contemporary places, but even though this place wasn't that, I loved its unique atmosphere.
This was my first time visiting Laguna Beach from Vegas, and it definitely wouldn't be my last!
FYI, in addition to the breakfast, they also have unlimited coffee, tea , and mimosas in the morning (only on weekends for the mimosa)
There is also infused cold water on the premises near the lobby that'savailable daily. They also have a pool, hot tub, and a spa.
This lovely place is walking distance to the beach and numerous restaurants. You do not need to rent a car. I enjoyed walking, so I walked everywhere!
Thank you for your hospitality :)
As always, I'll be back in my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice.
Stayed for a long weekend recently. The staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Little touches like cookies in the lobby near the fireplace, and complimentary breakfast either brought to your room or on the lovely serene patio. the different levels and lush grounds throughout give a very romantic and secluded vibe. Rooms are chic with stunning ocean views. some are small but still comfortable. Everything about this place is relaxing and special. short walk to stunning Victoria Beach and right on the free trolley line into town with restaurants and shops.
I booked 2 nights here but left before the second night because the heater did not work and it was freezing inside the room. I was told the ac/heater in my room was on a circuit with another room’s heater and that nothing could be done except to downgrade and move to another room which looked to be even darker than my dark room with a balcony.||The good- the property is charming, breakfast is great, the staff is excellent. We enjoyed our $75 upcharge booking in the hot tub, even though it’s basically a jetted bathtub and doesn’t retain heat so by the end you’re just sitting around in lukewarm water. The champagne provided in the hot tub was good though and we liked the privacy and view from up there. Pool is heated to 82. There’s a free trolley stop out front, which we used to get to town.||The bad- “garden room with ocean view balcony” is DARK and only has a view from the far edge of the balcony. At any other property this would be called a “Partial ocean view” room, and I feel I overpaid as the room type was misleading. (My friend booked an “ocean view room” with no balcony and it was much brighter and had a nicer view. ) The rooms don’t have refrigerators or coffee makers as you are expected to call the front desk for hot water and coffee and I suppose they expect you will dine in the restaurant; lack of these in-room amenities was inconvenient and we had to keep our leftovers on ice in a cooler I purchased. There is no public jacuzzi which is disappointing for a “spa” property. ||If you must stay here I would recommend booking a refundable rate and then checking to see if the price goes down right before the cancellation window ends- i found out I paid almost TRIPLE the rate they were charging the week of my stay bc I booked too early and didn’t have a cancellation option.
This is an outstanding property. I often leave a hotel feeling overcharged but certainly not here. From the moment we arrived to checkout the service, accommodations, champagne patio breakfast, hot toddy Friday nights and spectacular sunsets from the heated pool were magical. Located an easy stroll to Victoria Beach, right on the trolley line....this beautiful, unpretentious hotel captures all that makes Laguna Beach and Southern CA a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Lovely location and staff. La Casa Del Camino is really in a nice spot, only a breezy mile walk away from the action, so itâs not loud at the hotel. The views are great if youâre staying on the second floor or higher. And they have a great roofto
