The most beautiful home in the most beautiful setting! I spent months searching for an anniversary getaway destination and I knew as soon as I came across Casa Hudson that this was it. The home itself is incredibly stunning but the decor and artwork inside just elevate the beauty! I'm obsessed with the piece that's over the couch in the living room, I found myself going back to take another look every time we went downstairs! The HEP room is so spacious, so comfortable and cozy and positioned in a way that we didn't hear a peep from other guests. We were relieved to find a TV in our room as we thought there wouldn't be one. The bathroom is straight out of a dream, so beautifully decorated and the modern mirror is now on my wishlist! Breakfast was incredibly delicious both days, everything was either set out for us or easily accessible in the fridge. We only ran into one other guest, twice, who very kindly thought to bring us a trash bag after my husband asked if he might know where an extra would be. The only slightly less positive things I noticed were that there weren't any trash bags in our room (we were a few minutes early though and caught housekeeping off guard, our apologies!), and a couple more towels would have been great but I'm sure if we asked for them they would have given some! We didn't want to be a bother and do not hold that against them. I'm truly amazed at the beauty of Casa Hudson and the village of Haverstraw as a whole. There is so much to do, so much to see and so much to eat! Andrea and Nelson put so much love into this home and it's very evident, you'd be missing out if you didn't spend a night or two here! Thank you again for making our anniversary so special 💖

First the pros. The price was right for the Hudson valley. The river is indeed visible from the front porch. There was off-street parking in the back of the house. The room appeared clean although there was a large stain and peeling paper on the bathroom ceiling. Beyond that I was very disappointed. I sent an email asking about checkin arrangements and received no reply. I had to call the day before to find out what the checkin window was as there had been no communication and there was nothing on the website or in the confirmation email. I was told that I would get checkin information the following morning. By 3pm I had heard nothing. I called again from the road and got voice mail. I then got three text messages in short succession, the first with the wrong room and wrong entry code (which meant I now had the code to someone else's room.) An additional message contained directions to parking in the back of the house - which I wouldn't have known otherwise as it is on a different street than the house's address. No one greeted me on arrival and when I came downstairs the next morning the gentleman proprietor acted like he didn't know who I was. Breakfast was a roll, coffee (after I asked twice for it), and an offer to get myself an individual commercial vanilla yogurt from the fridge or to boil myself an egg. The town is not quaint. It is run down and filled with liquor and small grocery storefronts. The few restaurants did not look inviting or clean. When I asked for directions to local hiking the proprieter provided verbal directions without street names for a local park, whose name he couldn't remember. There are no directions in the room itself and it was unclear how to lock the door behind me or what TV channels were available. If I hadn't asked initially I would have had no idea what time "breakfast" was. There were no glasses for water or Kleenex in the room. I left after the first night.

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. She covered most of what I would have said more eloquently already. However, I must throw my own 2 cents in as well. The place is absolutely amazing. From the views, to the rooms ,to the atmosphere. The pictures and other reviews will never truly do it justice until you experience it for yourself. Not sure if it was just our room that had a television but it was mentioned on their website that they did not have one. We are homebodies and as much as we love exploring new places, We equally enjoy relaxing and doing nothing on vacations just as much . So that was a huge pleasant surprise that made it feel a bit more like home. Another thing she mentioned only briefly is that aside from a brief exchange with one other guest, We never saw anyone or heard a peep from anyone including the owners. Everything was set from before we even arrived. Breakfast was prepared with nice notes when we came down from our room. No check in. No check out. It was as if we had the entire house to ourselves. Everything was amazing and I really really can not stress how happy we were there. They are doing everything correctly as far as hosting and I wish them much success 10/10. Had we known we were given free range to the kitchen we would planned for different meals. Had we known a television was there we would have packed a little different. I saw a broken motion light and the floor lamp in our room I think, was broken as well, even though it still worked. These are 110% not criticisms in any way and I mention them only to inform the owners of our experience in full so they can continue to be the best place to stay at. Because for us it was already.

If you are looking for a place with a cozy, aesthetic vibe and great hosts, look no further! Our weekend stay at Casa Hudson was just what we needed. The place is beautifully decorated with original artwork. We felt like we were staying in our own private art museum. Thank you Andrea for your dining suggestions and coffee & pastries in the morning :) Jennifer + JT

Excellent short-term stay in Haverstraw: Nelson and Andrea did an amazing job of welcoming us to Casa Hudson! The bedding was high-quality and provided a great night’s sleep. They provided all necessary amenities in their bathroom. The Italian breakfast in the morning was the perfect touch: coffee, pastries, and good conversation. We would love to come back here for future trips in the Hudson Valley. This was an excellent staging ground for day trips to West Point or the city.

We booked a short stay for a little getaway in the fall of 2020. Casa Hudson is a beautifully restored home filled with thoughtful artwork and creative architectural accents. It was just the inspiration we needed! The home is situated on a hill above the Hudson river with beautiful views from the guest rooms and front porch. There are mountain views in the rear of the property. We felt very safe during Covid as the home was very clean and there was plenty of room for guests to spread out. There were several hiking trails nearby and we drove a short distance to pick up delicious takeout food. There is much to do in the scenic Hudson Valley and we plan to return again soon! The host Andrea was very hospitable and provided us with delicious Italian pastries each morning for breakfast! Casa Hudson provided a perfect location for a little getaway.

Casa Hudson is a beautiful B&B! The house has been fully renovated and is absolutely gorgeous. When walking through the courtyard my first night there I felt like I was visiting a villa in Tuscany. It has water views. There is a restaurant right across the street and plenty of convenience stores nearby. The host treats you to breakfast croissants specially shipped from Italy. I'm not a coffee drinker, but there is both a coffee maker and espresso machine. My one tip would be to bring your own pillow if you're particular about pillows.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic, great hosts, and a great waterfront view. The home is located on the widest part of the Hudson River. Inside you will find a artistically renovated interior decorated to the max. The bedrooms are quiet, no TV, phone,or radio, just solitude. Breakfast included fresh fruit and croissants from Italy. We met one other guest and he was super charming and very interesting! Special kudos to Andrea and Nelson!! Thank you Bill and Yvonne
