This place was SO delicious! Also the staff was so hospitable. We had some time to kill between Airbnbs on a crazy day of travel. We showed up at 11am and they were still ready to serve us with smiles. The happy hour was awesome too. Thank you so much!

GOOD: Our server was very nice and the nachos were pretty good.
BAD - atmosphere- lighting was far too dark for a festive, non-romantic setting. Seeing your dining companion isn't easy and pictures required night mode or flash. Also, the burritos were flat and lacked seasoning. I just wasn't excited to finish my food
Iam sure lots of folks love Casa Frida -lots of good reviews. We found the atmosphere for too dark, it just wasn't necessary given the restaurants vibe. The vibe was fun at times as they try to get customers involved in celebrations, but even that is a bit much.
Our food fell flat, it was bland and under seasoned. I just wasn't excited to finish. Even the better dishes came out luke warm. Hot food is always a must for me.
The nachos were the star - enjoyable, but not enough to come back. If you like a darker environment that tries to draw customer celebration moments, this may be your place, but it was a flat experience for us.
I was excited about Taco Tuesday after finding out about this establishment on a Facebook advertisement. We walked in, there were two guys looking towards the tv, giving their back to the door and any potential guest. There were two women facing us talking, my friend and I were so shocked to see how they looked at us and did not acknowledge us at all… no hello, no welcome, no smile, no smirk whatsoever… and they walked away. We were then acknowledged and sat by one of the men. Our server was the only nice one in the whole restaurant, explained the menu appropriately. The $3 tacos were small, cold, and mediocre. No one said goodbye on our way out either. That explains why the restaurant isn’t full. We won’t be back.
I LOVE this place. Unique cuisine, love their specials. Great margaritas, great food, fun vibe, great decor. Julian took great care of us, explaining all the food choices, making sure we were happy and taken care of, hope we get him when we return!
Loved the basil mango habanero margarita, and great explanation of the queso relleno, one of their specials (you should try!)

Casa Frida has the best Mexican food around, great drinks, and the owner has been nothing but friendly and helpful every time we go. I drive over an hour to get there and its worth it.
So, I had the misfortune to try this restaurant tonight. Staff seemed totally disinterested in serving us (and I waited 10 minutes to get the bill after being told it was coming). Food was passable although my tacos were cold. 5 dollars for 1 bowl of chips and salsa that is at best 1 to 2 handfuls of chips and watery salsa. I honestly couldn't believe how bad things were. So much so that I for the first time in my life didn't leave a tip.
Brunch is everything! 5 dollar bloody Maria’s! Amazing food, great service. Family oriented atmosphere
