Casa de Nena - Mexican restaurant in Ogden - 1071 W 27th St, USA

This is our new found secret in Ogden. Tucked away, it’s easy to miss, but now hard to pass by! All the food tastes like you’re sitting in the kitchen of a Mexican abuela. Homemade thick corn tortillas, delicious salsa and homemade chips, and flavorful meat, etc., I haven’t had anything I didn’t like here. The atmosphere is also fun and laid back. You MUST try their agua fresca! So delicious. Our kids love it too! This restaurant is owned by a local family (my husband knows their daughter) and you can tell they truly put their heart and soul into the restaurant!

Food has no taste the menudo taste like water no taste at all I kept asking for limes and she brought back nasty old yellowing limes dried up my daughter ordered asada tacos meat had no taste it had a lot of grease she ate the beans and rice. I put a 15 percent tip on there when you she stopped at our table maybe 2 and the second was cause I flagged her down definitely not worth my tip I put on there won’t be coming back this is not authentic Mexican food at all!

Wow these are some of the best tacos I have ever had and I've had a lot. Prices are good for the amount of food. There is usually a line at lunch because so many people eat here for lunch so that tells you it's pretty good.

Birria tacos con queso were fantastic! The consumé is really flavorful. Their house chips and salsa is unique and delicious. Even the beans and rice were above average! Service was friendly and the restaurant seems like your grandma's kitchen (just on a bigger scale). Good prices and worth every penny! I'll keep coming back!

The place is placed back off the street so you really need to be looking for it to see it. The food is something good! The torta is excllent sandwich if you get it. It comes with veggies, meat of choice, avocado and sauce. Only wished they had al-pastor for meat choice.

If you're looking for some delicious Mexican food well this is the spot! The Agua frescas are amazing! So quenching! With their spectacular array of dishes I literally wanted them all. The empanadas con chicken & cheese were mouth watering. The menudo was so tasty and the Birria soup was tantalizing. I cannot forget about the wet burrito, with green chile poured over the top was to die for! The atmosphere was a perfect setting for a Sunday morning with the hente all around it was definitely a family environment! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience Casa de Nena! My husband and I ate here for lunch the other day. We got there about 1:30 and it wasn’t packed at all. The food was SOOO delicious! I got the carne asada tacos. He got the Birra burrito. Both dishes were really good! Fresh tasting, authentic Mexican food! I also got the lime water- amazing! And my husband got the pineapple drink- amazing too! I highly recommend this place. The restaurant was clean, the food was really good, the service was top notch- 5 stars!

I ordered a Asada burrito I asked for smothered. Even reiterated does that mean smothered with Green Chile and cheese, I got my food to go so I didn’t notice until I got home it was a burrito with green sauce on the side not green Chile. The food was below mid and the street tacos I am use to has cilantro and onion with sauces these came with meat and tortilla no sauce just pico and sour cream. I keep asking where to find authentic Mexican food but I’m convinced Utah just doesn’t have any, wouldn’t recommend this place it was a first and last for me
