The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and there’s been a lot in my 60+years. It was a remarkable experience; the smell was disgusting, the noise terrifying, the lack of lighting was probably so the dirt wasn't obvious. It is not a luxury hotel near the airport, I slept in my clothes including my shoes in case I had to run during the night; and then to top it all off the hair dryer took off the tip of my finger it had no cover on the back. I told the front desk they were unconcerned about my injury or someone else who may have a worse injury or lose their scalp. I will never fly through jfk again, flights cancelled continually, no close accommodations and taking m life in my hands was more than I could bare after flying across the pond and being up for 24 hours. Don’t book it staying in the airport would have be preferable.

This has got to have been THE worst hotel experience I have ever had. Once you enter the lobby, you are greeted with the comingled smells of cigarettes and weed. A smell that permeates through absolutely every part of the building, including the rooms. The first room I was assigned was on the ground floor and had a busted window. Reluctantly, the attendant had no choice but to give me a replacement room. The replacement room wasn't much better than the original. The bed linens were frayed in areas and had a dingy quality to them. I did not feel comfortable laying on them. For a California king bed, there were three deflated pillows. The comforters looked like they hadn't been washed, and the scent of weed in the upstairs hallway was unbearable. At all hours of the night, there was constant noise and activity outside my room. There were people yelling, smoking, and socializing in the hallway. I woke up the next morning dressed for an appointment and came down to the lobby to wait for my car service. Instead of saying good morning and asking how I didn't sleep, the attendant, from behind her bulletproof glass, seemed only interested in if I was checking out or not. I spent 2 nights at this hell-hole, and I couldn't wait to return to the comforts of home. The person who booked this hotel for me was so embarrassed. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Straight trash! First of all, booked this room only because it's close to JFK Airport(leaving next morning) with that being said this hotel is atrocious! As soon as you walk in the front door all you smell is Marijuana smoke, I personally have nothing bad to say about marijuana but alot of other people do. The receptionist behind the bulletproof glass was nice, she checked me in quick. We walk to the room and as soon as we open the door we get hit in the face with hot air and a stench of smoke. Only one light in the room and it was so dim, the bedsheets we so filthy and had cigarette burns. The only thing that kept this from being a complete disaster was the bathroom. It actually was quite decent. If you want to leave here with your clothes smelling like smoke and some bedbugs then I suggest you stay away, you have been WARNED ⚠️

This place was the Howard Jonhnson Hotel and then it's called the hotel Azul which this place there is no breakfast and the room are not nice . I stated there one night in rm 219 and the door didn't close and the smoke detector was falling off the wall. There is just a bedspread on the bed with no blankets. I was cold so I asked for a blanket and they give u a very thin blanket. Don't stay here

Rooms were super clean, always smelt fresh and beds were very comfortable! The staff at the reception ans house keeping were lovely and very helpful with all my questions!! The location was perfect for me as I'm from London but I don't like staying in crowded cities, very easy to get to Times Square and any of attraction you may want to see on your visit (if your from out of country/town like me) Would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to chill and relax with lovely staff around!!

I stayed here while taking my daughter to a KPop concert at UBS Arena (Approx 20 minute walk to UBS through mostly dark rural area on 222 St., a little sketch, but OK) • Parking was great, Parked against the building (we were given room 117 right next to my car). • Check in was average, girl was polite but soft-spoken behind the bulletproof glass). • Room was cleaned and mopped when we arrived so had to wait about 20 minutes in the lobby, no biggie. • AC worked...but not well, would run for 5 minutes then shut off 5 minutes later, then restarts in 5 min. Hi/Low Fan controls seemingly nonoperational, only the 'Auto' setting worked. Kept the room at around 72° • The comforters did have a couple cigarette burns, but the sheets were clean and changed during our 2 night stay, room didn't smell like smoke so I'm assuming they're the same bedding from the once 'Smoking' facility. Residual 'Devil's Lettuce' smell in lobby/halls, but is also seemingly expected now in NYC area so no big deal. • Shower drain couldn't keep up with the flow from shower diverter. Water would slowly creep to the end of the shower if ran at full pressure and overflow if not turned back, had to run shower with half pressure. But it was OK, nice shower head and wand. (Front desk made note of this issue at check out, when requesting a Google review) • 75" 4K HDR TV was a nice surprise. No issue with Fire TV for Plex and Netflix for me, since I wasn't attending the show. • WiFi worked well in our room, No issues or buffering • USB charger in night stand didn't work, but the outlets worked and we had brought our own chargers. (Chargers available in the vending machine for $10, weird, but neat idea IMO and that's probably the reason why.) • Vending machines were stocked and $2.00 Sodas and water wasn't horrible either. Would've cost more at a shop nearby (not many) , so it was at least convenient. - Room was pretty noisy though. The Subway noise out my window was to be expected for it's location and if the AC worked correctly the fan running would've probably camouflaged most of the Subway noise, by some degree. But I think the hotel having all tile floors in the hallways/lobby and rooms made for an annoying experience. Some of the other guests had no couth or consideration and were belligerent and loud at all hours on night 1, and with no carpeting in the hall, you could hear everything through the doors and walls. Management didn't seem to intervene with the noisy patrons either...however, night 2 it wasn't near as bad. * All in all, it wasn't at all horrible for the price. Nicely designed, modern-ish appealing look, and just enough amenities for what you'd need for a temporary stay. It could be worse and it's likely the only hotel in the area within walking distance of UBS Arena or Belmont that doesn't look/feel like something from one of the Hostel movies so, I would return if the need arises. But, if you stay, unless something changes after May 2024, one could probably expect at least one of the aforementioned issues. Nothing overly spectacular, but given the location, It could've been much worse. They're at least trying. That's my .02.

This is my go to place when I am in Jamaica queens. The hotel is very clean the receptionist are very kind especially Reno she had a mother like welcome energy 🙂‍↔️. I love that there are vending machine and atm on the premises and you receive daily room service . I also love the fact that they have a room phone so you don’t have to walk out your room to the receptionist if incase you need assistance. Location is perfect just below the Long Island train station

The rooms have dolphin bedspread that's not warm . If you ask for a extra blanket they give you a thin blanket nothing to keep you warm. They don't serve a breakfast . When it was the Howard Johnson they served a breakfast. The door didn't lock and the smoke Detector was falling off the wall. Don't stay here again
