Went for a wedding reception inside, pretty roomy, big kitchen area, bathrooms, clean, not to hot or cold inside but we did keep the door open b/c we had quite a few people. The little kids had a blast running playing in the play set they have out there.
Hey, this place is not open in the winter months even though it shows open.
Fun ride for everyone didn't like that the price went up like everything else.
We loved riding this old carousel. There is some interesting photos and information inside plus a couple of restored carousel horses. Fun to ride and interesting information.
Haven't actually ridden on this ride but it looks nice. Plus there's a nice Victorian garden next to it. However, the public bathroom (at least the men's) could do with a little make over; a bit dingy (and what's with the bulletin board over the urinals?).
Old timey carousel ride, $2 per rider. Ride lasts about 2 minutes. Public restroom right there as well. You can also ride the mini train that's near by for another $2.
Love Gage park. So beautiful with many ponds and lots of flowers.
Carousel was closed. It's really great Topeka still has it. I remember it from Boyles when I was a kid. I decided to go for a walk in the park today. I could not believe the trash people leave in the park. (not as bad as my neighborhood) Cups, water bottles & trash from a birthday party. Fine example to show your kids people. No wonder we have such worthless idiots in this world. Adults of tomorrow learn from parents of today. I don't know anything about parks in other cities but I think we are lucky to have a nice park as Gage Park. Show some RESPECT for your fellow citizens & parks employees people.
Lake Shawnee is one of my favorite places in Topeka. I have spent a lot of time here, playing with my kids, walking my dog, fishing, riding my bicycle, and enjoying the garden. Bring your kids, your significant other, your dogs, and/ or your friends.
Not from Topeka but thoroughly enjoyed our walk in the park. Wide and well-maintained cement paths, large mature shade trees and so many things to do and see such as the gardens, carousel, zoo, train, playground/picnic areas, zoo and so much more. We
Great place for a run, walk, walk with the dogs, bike ride. Nice scenery and wild life sightings if you get out early, and the right time of the season; deer, turkey and of course squirrels.
I showed up at sunset it was beautiful. I saw two owls. Then I went to play on the teeter totter then fell off and started bleeding bad. But luckily the near by Churches chicken was very helpful and bandaged me up well. The water fountain also was go
I hadn't been here in years..decided to take my son yesterday & I was very impressed! This place is awesome!! The trails through the woods are the best! We walked 4.4 miles & I could of stayed for hours!! Will definitely hit these trails again!!
I've heard many good comments about the Circle Coffee Co. I am very happy to add my opinion to the place as well. Now that I have been able to make it in. I ordered their specialty drink, browned butter latte. As well as, a spinachoke Danish. My Mom
I 1000% recommend Master Overbey's Martial Arts. I have watched many kids come in, many with adhd, autism, and other differences. They immediately fit right in. The instructors are patient, kind, energetic, and quickly motivate the kids to work hard
A wonderful experience. We just saw âThe Crucibleâ and everything about the production was fantastic, from the service to and at our table to the superb acting, costumes, to the intimate ambiance and overall impact. Highly Recommend and we will g
So I tried this little gem on a Friday evening after work. Parking could be an issue depending on when you go. They have an interesting cocktail selection. We tried the Aperol Spritz, , The Bubb, The Sluis, and French Martini.All. Of those were uniq
This is such a fantastic botanical garden in Topeka, Kansas! Itâs right on the water and is really well maintained (besides a few paths with a lot of weeds in the rocks). The best part of this place is that it is FREE and has ample free parking as
This is a beautiful hall! Come hear the amazing performing ensembles from Washburn University, or hear the Topeka Symphony, or any other events they are hosting. It has great acoustics, spacious and comfortable seating, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Today was busy, but not overcrowded. Everything is clean. The bathroom is excellent, so accessible. Makes everything easier for parents, etc. There are so many wonderful learning toys, a playhouse/slid, Legos, play grocery store. It is great for youn
I absolutely love this place! They have some of the best food and I always feel welcome. When you walk in they are quick to greet you and make you feel like family. I hope this place can grow because it really needs more seating room but if it's full
