Carom Inn a Travelodge by Wyndham Denham Springs/Baton Rouge - Hotel in Denham Springs - 2311 Home Depot Dr, USA

My stay here was interesting. I was visiting for a social event for the weekend. I didn't need to spend a lot of money; just somewhere nearby the location and a clean place to bathe, do some work on my computer, and sleep. I received all of these comforts, and I even went as far as wiping down my counters, toilet, TV remote and phone and there was NO residue on my disinfectant wipes. ||While my stay here was a little above average, there are some things that are subjective to my needs but also areas that need to be improved. ||PROS: | - BUDGET friendly| - Pleasant staff| - Easy check-in| - CLEAN room| - In room microwave and refrigerator (with freezer)| - Close to freeways | - Short driving distance to places to eat and stores| - Parking space outside my room| - Free cable channels | - CUTE kitty sitting outside my door (I LOVE cats!) ||CONS: | - LOUD stench of cigarette smoke while entering/exiting my room | - WiFi service is shaky| - Unable to access the apps on the TV for streaming||ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT| - The cigarette containers, which are between guests' doors, need to be away from | them. Those who don't smoke shouldn't have to smell it | - I had to go to the front desk area to connect to the Wi-Fi signal| - Connecting to the streaming services on the TV was impossible. When I turned it | on, the different services flashed for half a second. I didn't reach out to the front | desk because it wasn't a big deal but if this is a service, it needs to be easily | accessible ||I believe if the above mentioned is improved, this could be a 5-star place. Again, this location is not for someone who is looking for special amenities but for the budget-friendly traveler. ||I also suggest not getting a room on the ground floor close to traffic. I had a difficult time sleeping but preferred that location for safety reasons. Also, ask the front desk representative if there are any rooms that do not currently have guests next door. It's not a guarantee that there won't be any noise but I'm a light sleeper and don't like having to sleep with my ear plugs unless necessary while I'm traveling.

Stayed here for Rock the Country Concert . Not a bad place to stay , could use alittle updating but wasnt bad especially for the price. Staff was all kind to us . Asked for extra towels and a blanket and they were like no problem here you go.. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is bc the bathroom door wouldnt stay closed , it didnt latch and the matress's need to be replaced . Other than that it was clean and worked for us...

They just got dropped by Wyndham probably for good reason the Men charge a different rate than the women upon trying to go check in at the front desk I was accused of stealing something by the clerk just a shady business I'll gladly take my money elsewhere

Upon checking in I was greeted by a very beautiful and very sweet young lady. She took care of my check in very quickly and efficiently. This motel is being renovated under new ownership so the rooms aren't perfect but you can see that they are working on them. For the price you can't go wrong. It's in a great location. Plenty of food places to eat close by I'd say within a minute or two.

Management was horrible. They demanded paperwork on my service animals, refused to switch my room after I paid for a more expensive room and then wouldn't refund back the difference. I'm also a wyndham platinum member and they did nothing to uphold any of wyndhams platinum perks.

Staff was awesome and extremely helpful. The rooms could use an update, but over all they were very clean. Our only issue is the mattress. We would have been better sleeping on concrete, it would have been softer. If it weren't for the week and a half of back issues this place would get 5 stars.

We’ve stayed at this place many times the people here are very friendly. I would say shout out to Miss Wendy and I’m sorry I don’t remember his name the one that works the night shift. He’s awesome too, the maintenance guy. He’s pretty awesome too. I like I like him one night. Our smoke alarm broke and he was there. Done got it but all in all everybody there was very nice .If you need anything they there to get it like we’ve stay there for a minute, even the cleaning ladies, they are pretty cool, Jim I like that one chick this with that brown hair we we overslept one day and she was like yeah I got a check out very cool, but if I had to say anybody needed a place to stay that was in place I would go

The room and property was very clean and adequate. The lady at the front desk check-in was very friendly and helpful. She took the time to make sure I liked my room. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. The location was very convenient for everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.
