Carolinas Inn - Motel in Sumter - 200 S Pike W, USA

Hated it. Roaches on the wall.Bed bugs.The front desk lady was super rude! Found an underwear in the shower!!! How gross is that? The lady didn’t even seem interested in what I said. She just shrugged and said”then pick it up”……REALLY???? I’m not doing to do that. The toilets were clogged, so we couldn’t use the bathroom in our room. And when I said “beg bugs” I mean a DOZEN of them.Same with roaches on the wall.The couch was so uncomfortable. My older brother and little sister both got bitten by bed bugs. I did to. My mom had to sleep on that uncomfortable couch because the beds were only fit for 2 PEOPLE!!! There was also no door knobs so kids kept running around PEEKING through the hole the knobs were supposed to be in!!! By far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.The only thing amazing about this hotel is the view of the rooms and that’s ALL.If you ever come to this hotel,I’m warning you. STAY AWAY FROM CAROLINAS INN!!!!

If you are ever visiting Sumter S.C. and you are looking for a motel this is not the place to go. Roaches,bedbugs and the toilet did not work. The room smells like a garbage dump and the staff is not professional. They don’t have any class. The room was so bad I stayed awake because I didn’t want anything to crawl on me. Dusty, dirty, dingy I wonder how their living conditions are at home. Please, 🙏🏽 don’t go there or you are in for the worst night of your life. You have been warned!!!!!!!!!

Roaches like hell. I mean the roaches are hella disrespectful. Can't even eat or sleep in there properly with all the roaches. But, the rooms were a good size and worthy of being appraised if they mope the floors and doing coatings on the doors and tubs and fix the odd toilet seats and odd awkward door knobs on thr front doors. And if they actually keep the roaches away.

My lock did not work and my sink was leaking I had to put a bucket under it. They also have bugs and mites .

I stayed here one time before 8/31/22. Seem quite until someone knocked on my door and window 2 in the morning. I just looked at it as wrong room. 8/31/22 I was in my room sleep when I noticed my phone alarm didn't go off and wake me up. I jumped up and notice all my stuff was gone. My smart watch, phone, Bluetooth, and wallet. I went to the office and told the lady we need to call the police all my stuff was gone and no one was in the room but me. She stated when the man gets up they would look at the camera. Unacceptable to me. I stated to her no one was leaving from over there until I get all my stuff back. And I went back to my room and left the door open. Room 102, I noticed there was somebody else key card on my floor(room 116). My cousin who stays in that area came over at the request of my mom because she was worried I didn't answer my phone. The man and woman then put on some cheap gloves and went upstairs to a room in the left hand corner. A black 1999-2002 Nissian pulled in to the far right side and the dude in the upstairs room came down fast and took a Amaco bag from the black car and came and apologize, saying he sorry for what his brother did. Questions still remain, how did they get in my room? These locals live at that hotel and the man and woman are all in on it. Thank God I'm here today to tell any and everybody don't stay at this hotel for no reason. I had to tell them I was bout to shoot the place up just to get my stuff back. Just think had I woken up when they was in my room I could've been dead. The picture of the room on the website is the actual room I stayed in, room 102. Yeah sounds like something out of a movie but please don't stay at this hotel. It's not safe and they prey on new people that come there. Thank God my mom and my best friend knew where I was. Because they left me with nothing. Let's not forget they tried to use my cash app card at a Amaco gas station for $180, $100, and $15.

The customer service is good but the rooms could be cleaned better and less bugs but in a great area and near food places

The hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in. It was the slum of all slum. They make you sign a no refund before you even see the rooms. The locks were missing from the doors which caused the room doors to have large holes where the lock should have been. The tub was absolutely disgusting. We were unable to shower or use the toilet. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anybody. Basically the worst stay I've ever had.

Dangerous and the most filthy room I have ever seen, and I travel in my work almost every week. I stayed 7 nights and not once was the trash emptied, the bed made, fresh towels or soap provided. I have never seen so many bugs in a motel room. This motel is located in a very rough neighborhood. It is so dangerous that you can't even go in to the locked office. You have to conduct your transaction through a slot in a caged window while standing in the parking lot. People congregate in the parking lot at night and are very loud. I was once approached by a young lady who was meeting "Charlie" in the parking lot wondering if I were he. She was obviously there to either buy or sell something. Although inexpensive, not worth the risk. If you come to Sumter, stay in one of the franchise motels if you value your safety.
