Carolina Beach Motel - Motel in Carolina Beach - 213 Raleigh Ave, USA

We booked a room in building 3, room 13 on 8/19/23. For starters, coming up to the “newly renovated” building, the owners clearly put in minimal effort to make it livable, and all the seemingly abandoned buildings around, currently being renovating, give a very greeting feeling… From a communication standpoint, none of the parking was addressed and it is definitely not clear where to park, we ended up picking the grass. The owner decided just leaving the door open and the keys inside was the smartest thing to do as a lock box seems to be too much of an investment. The condo check in was at 3 and we didn’t arrive till 6 leaving everything unlocked and unattended for 3 hours. There was no deadbolt on the door making us feel very unsafe the entire time. As we walked in we were greeted with a musty scent of craw space coming out of our air conditioner. The scent did not leave the room for the 1 night stay we were there even after many attempts of trying to air it out. Along with this, the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, the tv/internet did not have the bandwidth to run Netflix and it crashed every time we tried to watch a show, and we IMMEDIATELY found a cockroach in the bathroom. We addressed the air quality/smell issue to the owner requesting a room change, who did not respond till late at night and no action was every taken. If I could give this place a 0/5 I would, considering our stay cost over $200. The owner’s lack of effort in renovating additional condos is almost impressive and I would never book here again, and strong advise you to reconsider. One positive note is the original building one condos seemed decent, but I would still say proceed with caution.

The best place we have ever stayed in Carolina Beach. The owner was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. Definitely will stay here again!! Very clean, well equiped with everything we would need. Very convenient from everything. Definitely a 5⭐ place to stay.

I visit Carolina Beach often and I have no idea how I didn’t already know about this place. It is a hidden gem. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. The property is within walking distance to the Boardwalk and the beach. The hospitality at this place is amazing. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel at home and that you have everything you need. He made great recommendations for places to eat and things to go see. He was on point for all that we tried! We will definitely be back!

This place is quite awful. Their customer service is comparable to talking with a bunch of teenage kids, they sent an important discussion over text and then they didn’t call. I had to call and when I was on the phone with the “owner,” they were talking over me and wouldn’t address the problem, which is their customer service!! They literally told me to shut up and then hung up! When I called back they told I was put on a “list” and were basically trying to scare me out of making this a big deal. If I could rate this place a 0/5 I would but sadly that is not an option. Will never be going there again, lucky my friends dad owns a hotel business and had a resort in Wilmington with beautiful accommodations or else I would have had to stay in my car.

I have stayed at this motel since I was a child and over the years I have watched it grow! The new owners are so nice! They actually talk to their guest. They accommodated us with everything we needed. The rooms are newly redone and very nice! Nice set up and great colors! Only more to come says the owners. Me personally I can’t wait to see what else they have In store for this place which is like home to me here at CB. I would recommend this to everyone. Real close to CB board walk stores and restaurants. Nice for family vacation spot. Going to see if I can book my room for next year! Thanks Wayne for a great stay while we are home away from home!

My son and my soon to be daughter-in-law took me there for the weekend to celebrate my retirement/birthday. The place was under renovation at the time and the room we got was the first one that was complete. We walked in and the room was absolutely beautiful. The owner of the complex was extremely nice and made you feel at home. It's in our plans to go back next year and stay in the same one. I would recommend it to anybody.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They sent me a TEXT message last minute that we could no longer stay at our room because there was a leak. Proceeded to argue with me on the phone when I called because I was panicking about where I would stay. Told me they just found the leak at 2:00 THAT DAY! when check in was at 3:00 and didn’t have any other options for me. But sent me a screen shot of the money going back into our account at 9:45am from earlier that morning, but to their knowledge had just found the leak at 2?? Lol Worst customer service ever. She was rude, not understanding, and clearly didn’t care that we wouldn’t have a place to stay because everything was booked up by then. & gaslit me. Yikes This was beyond ridiculous and they have terrible communication skills.

My husband and I took a trip to Carolina Beach and stayed at Cole’s Motel &Pool. Great location! Once we parked at the motel, we didn’t get back in the car until we left. You can walk to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and bars… which is awesome due to the small amount of available parking around that area (and the price of parking). Every morning we went on a long walk on the beach, stopped for coffee on the way there and got breakfast on the way back to the motel. The owner is great and has done an awesome job renovating. Renovations are currently still going on, but was not an issue at all. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One of the best places we have stayed at Carolina Beach!
