Fond memories were forged here over many years, Memorial Day weekend at the campground was a rite of passage. Hanging out by the campfire with friends and family, always in the rain for some reason, is just good old fashioned fun. This place creates life long friendships and stories.

Beautiful campgrounds and very nice staff. Worst camping experience by far. The other campers were wild to say the least. Children ran through our site screaming multiple times. Silly string all along the bridges and walkways. They toilet papered the bathroom closest to us, shoving tp down the sink. Cars blasting music from 9 am to 10:30 pm with curses and heavy base. Extremely inappropriate behavior between a man and woman in the women's shower room, even with several other women in the building including a minor. The staff was friendly and seemed to handle each situation quickly and as best they could. Even still, we will certainly not be back and if you're looking for a calm weekend getaway this is *not* the place.

Unfortunately we have been coming to caroga for years and will not be returning. We checked out two days early on a 8 day camping trip as we just couldn't take it anymore. The campers up there were unruly. Yelling, fighting and calling each other names. Drunk , screaming and dogs barking nonstop. I'm all for having a good time but this was obnoxious.

Had a nice weekend here with a few friends. Campsites are all pretty close so if you end up having loud neighbors that may affect your stay. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Kayaks/Canoes are rented at the front entrance and is first-come-first-served (no reservations) then they go to beach to unlock them for you. Site #27 was pretty neat, plenty of room for tents but only really one car. Could easily have 2-4 hammocks up depending on suspension.

We spent 3 nights at Caroga Lake. They have a great staff who really care about the well kept campground. One shower house; very clean. All toilet houses are very clean. Sites are of varying sizes, but mostly small (a tent or two and an EZ-Up over the table. Fire pits are cleaned out after each reservation leaves. the surface is gravel. The beach is small. Drawbacks: Water spigots are hard to find in the woods. Only one shower house, so if you're far away from it, it's an uphill hike. The general store across from camp is really a sandwich/pizza shop. The wood we bought there was wet and wouldn't burn properly (not a ding against the campground, but just sayin'). There is zero cell service at this campground. Whether that's a plus or minus is up to you.

Needs updating. We camped here a week in July 2019. The water was off for two different days. Hot water was out one morning. These were because of unplanned issues and a plumber was called. Outhouses are the backup. Bathrooms are not close to campsites and those bathrooms have toilets and sinks. These bathrooms have plywood stalls that need to be replaced. There are showers near the camp entrance, many people we saw drove from their sites to the showers. Driving in the park one day, smelled a strong septic odor, despite having a/c on- saw a woman pull her shirt up over her mouth walking to the bathroom I was passing near the beach. This isn't the standard I'm used to at several of the NYS campgrounds my family has camped at. The park is pretty small and has some eyesores due to lack of space... Like a large pile of gravel, empty sites with picnic tables being worked on. The lake is okay. Small lake with a lot of activity on the weekends, less in the week. Swimming area is nice, beach is nice, life guard present. Changing areas at the beach don't have showers or bath facilities. Sites have nice fire pits, but bring a grill to BBQ over the fire, as grates are 4" apart. Good convenience store outside park, and lots of shopping close by in Gloversville.

The staff was very friendly and polite every time I interacted with them, but this campground is completely misrepresented online. Campsites are practically on top of each other and tiny, quiet hours are not enforced, my camping neighbors sang and played loud tambourines (of all things, tambourines??) all through the night. It felt more like camping in a suburban backyard than in the Adirondacks. So, if you like the backyard feel this campground is for you. We left after staying a night, did not wanna stick around for the tambourine encore.

It’s very hard to find a place to get Sushi in Fulton county. Luckily we have Mt. Fuji! Really great sushi and sashimi options. My wife loves getting the Japanese style hibachi meal, while me and my girls chow down on the sushi. I try to have a new
