From the initial phone call assistance in purchasing tickets to passing through the security guards, the customer service at Carnegie Hall was nothing short of seamless. The venue itself is breathtaking and majestic. As a plus-size individual (3x), I had concerns about fitting comfortably in the chairs, given past experiences at Broadway shows. However, Carnegie Hall pleasantly surprised me – the seats were not only plus-size-friendly but also exceptionally comfortable. I wholeheartedly look forward to returning for another show at this fantastic venue.
Carnegie Hall was an okay experience. The acoustics were decent, but I expected a bit more magic considering its reputation. The performance was great , but I've seen better employees elsewhere.
It was a Sold-out Lang Lang concert on a Thursday night. The only seats left were in the nose-bleed section at the very top tier of seats. If you must sit there get the last row, row Q - it more feet room (forget leg room!) then row P on down. Sightlines and sound were great! Our wait time was because we got there early. The ticket price was almost $100 each - and all that was left to buy a month before the concert.
The world famous, legendary Carnegie Hall, is woven into cultural history as a theatre of great musical performances across different genres, including jazz, classical music and even the Beatles. Enjoy some great concerts, in a landmark venue, amongst appreciative, engaging and knowledgeable audiences. 2023 is the 10th anniversary of the National Youth Ensembles, and the 6th year of the National Youth Orchestra Jazz, a modern day big band. I enjoyed a sensational set of performances crammed full of young artistic talent, combined with some stylish interventions from some older masters appearing as special guests. Well done to Sean Jones, artistic director, for pulling together such an array of talent to explore some musical masterpieces. With the theme of the 29ers, or artists born on the 29th of any month, he wrote himself into a script of icons, including Duke Ellington and Wycliffe Gordon. The connection between the highly appreciative and engaged audience and the young musicians made the occasion extraordinary. A night of great memories with great people.
So pretty. Music sounds magical in there. Sometimes it was difficult to hear speakers though; even with mics on. Staff were extremely nice and helpful!
Carnegie Hall, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, stands as one of the most prestigious and iconic concert venues in the world. Its history is rich and steeped in cultural significance. Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist, envisioned creating a space that would be a hub for the arts and culture in New York City. The idea for Carnegie Hall emerged in the late 19th century, and construction began in 1889. The renowned architect William Tuthill was tasked with designing the hall, which was completed in 1891. Carnegie Hall officially opened its doors on May 5, 1891, with a concert conducted by the New York Symphony Orchestra. The inaugural performance featured the world premiere of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Marche Solennelle." From its inception, Carnegie Hall became a focal point for both classical and popular music. The venue hosted performances by some of the greatest musicians and composers of the time, including Tchaikovsky, Leonard Bernstein, Igor Stravinsky, and many others. It became a symbol of artistic excellence, attracting top performers from around the globe. The hall underwent significant renovations in the mid-20th century to enhance its acoustics and modernize its facilities while preserving its historic charm. The legendary Main Hall, Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, has maintained its reputation as one of the finest concert halls globally, celebrated for its superb acoustics and intimate setting. Over the years, Carnegie Hall has diversified its programming to include a wide range of musical genres, from classical and jazz to contemporary and world music. It has also served as a platform for important cultural and social events, reflecting its commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive artistic community. Carnegie Hall continues to be a beacon for musicians and music lovers alike, embodying the spirit of artistic innovation and excellence. Its legacy as a cultural institution remains deeply embedded in the fabric of New York City and the global music scene, making it a living testament to Andrew Carnegie's vision of providing a venue that would inspire and uplift through the power of music.
The acoustic is the best. There are many parking lots in the area. The cafe"s food was fresh. The 3rd level dress circle has an elevator, if you don't want orchestra or stairs.
So proud of my daughter and the BHS madrigals for singing as part of choir of hope for the Tim Janis charity event supporting Sophie's Place that provides music therapy for children with TBI while in hospital. Great event and great venue. Wonderful Christmas music with great acoustics to get you in the holiday spirit!
Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!
I look forward to my body rolling and foot fitness sessions with Melyssa! Her immense knowledge and intuition guide the sessions in a great way. This work is supportive for the long haul; brings awareness, strength and greater mobility. It's become a
One of the best bibimbaps Iâve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!
Eko is the best property manager Iâve ever met. He is very reactive and provide service as soon as possible. My 4 months tour in NYC is indispensable without his help.
Tickets were crazy affordable, especially in NYC terms. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. It was wayyy cheaper than going to the movies. They had an amazing line-up and the retro 80s vibes were intimate and chill. Plus the come
