The place looked really cute from the outside. We got a run down room, it was all the way in the back. All the other places had cute flowers, some had porches, ours looked like a utility shack. The parking area was so small, felt really squeezed in but I guess that's the vibe in Carmel. So we go into our room and find out our a/c doesn't work, they did at least have 2 fans. The closet was missing a door, weird but not that big a deal to me. The bed was so uncomfortable, it felt like it was lopsided, like the feet section was higher than the pillow area. The area was quiet, no loud traffic noise so that was nice.
The Carmel Resort Inn was not worth the $300 to spend the night. The inside of the quaint little cottage made Motel 6 look nice. It hardly resembled the pictures online. The fireplace in the wall was covered sloppily up by a fake fireplace because I guess the original one didn’t work. There was a see-through curtain over the one window that left a gap so anyone outside could look straight in at the bed. The toilet barely worked. It was so disappointing. I could have found a much nicer place to stay for that price, but I trusted the pictures and the fact it is centrally located in Carmel. I would not recommend this place unless you are willing to spend a lot of money you could spend staying somewhere much nicer.
This was a great find. The location was in a quiet neighborhood. Away from tourist and traffic. The cottage was quaint and adequate for our needs. We brought our 2 dogs for walks to the beach and visited pet friendly restaurants. It was a lovely walk (10 minutes or so) to Ocean street. The room had plenty of space for us and dogs. Some fixtures could have been updated and the curb appeal needed a makeover. However the place was neat and tidy and the amenities were good.
I definitely would come again.
My husband and I stayed here over the weekend.
Number 1 thing - is that this is NOT a resort. I knew it was old, little cottage setting. The property looks cute.
The pool is completely magnified on the website - it is more like a tiny spa.
The restroom didn't have hooks or a piece of furniture to set anything on. And you have to step out like 10 feet to wash your hands - gross - weird.
The whole room was just too old, not in any way attempted to be updated. Old can still be nice if you put some effort into it.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable.
It was a mission to get to the beach and the town.
I don't recommend, we won't stay again. We actually checked out a day early.
I'm going to give a full review I stayed here for 3 nights during the week -end of May 24'. This is not a bed and breakfast not a resort and not a Hotel this is a motel where your able to drive up to your room. This property needs a lot of work but I can only imagine a small fortune to do so. The positive is I took a hot bath slept well and was able to make a fire to sit by at night outside. I loved that there was a small fridge and coffee maker. I'm grateful I brought my own blankets and firewood. I had my dog with me this was a perfect place and affordable to be able to stay in Carmel.
My husband, our toddler and I spent one night here. We liked the cottage vibe and that they were detached dwellings as opposed to standard hotel rooms. They are older cottages and are outdated in style if that matters, but the place was clean, functional, and the office staff was nice. We got an amazing price through a third party which was nice. I would definitely recommend it.
My biggest disappointment was the location. Since I couldn't see the slopes on the map, I perceived it as walking distance to the center, but the slopes pose a problem for people my age. The rooms and the environment are not bad, I can't say it's bad, it's good either. The refreshments that you will need when you first enter are limited, and I cannot say that they are inadequate, but I cannot say that they are good either.
The price is great and good location. However, the customer service was less than accommodating - especially arriving Friday for a party that started at 5 pm and only could check in AFTER 4pm.Then we get a room with 2 queen beds & they say only one car is allowed to park on property. ( both cars fit in one parking spot with no problem.) then the rooms have NO full length mirror in the entire room! There was a tiny mirror in the bathroom but is not adequate for two ladies trying to get ready in a short amount of time due to the late 4 pm check in. I would spend a little more on the Carmel inn which is worth every penny. This feels like you are not welcome and are greeted with negativity and disdain. I would not recommend this place.
Stayed Feb.9,2024.
Check out is 11 am. ( check in is only from 4 pm - 9 pm.Also, the TV doesn't even turn on with remote and has no button to manually turn it on even. There was a microwave and fridge and ironing board and hair dryer. Beds are comfy but hearing dogs growling outside the next door unit all night was a nuisance.

Sophisticated and cool with unusual, unique, quality merchandise. Several lines are Italy direct exclusives. I went in to purchase their vegetarian make up (no chemicals) and the soy based nail colors but found so much more. There are gift items for
My favorite beach on the California coast! I prefer it in the winter when it's less crowded. There's always, always, people on it though. Beautiful waves, soft sand, lots of space to walk at low tide. It's a great place to bring your dog but be aware

This place is located inside the Point lobos state natural reserve, Bird island trail. It was an easy trail.
Entry Fee was $10 per vehicle. Parking and restrooms were available at the beginning of the trail. But parking was little bit challenging ev
Really perfect place for kids to play. The water is warm and clean, and there are a lot of pelicans resting in the river. Besides, you may explore the sea creatures in the rock such as crabs, hermit crab, fish, and sea ââurchin. You can also rela
