Gorgeous trail! We of course went right, which is the long way around, but it was a beautiful hike. Go left if you want the short trail to the springs. It’s beautiful, definitely a labor of love.
Lovely place but it lost some charm with the recent renovations. There is now a huge road cut all the way up to the TB sanitarium. The spring that fed the ranch house has been replaced by a well, it looks like, yet there are still springs to the west side that feed the ponds. I miss the fish. When the ponds were drained at one point, the fish were wiped out. I look forward to seeing fish swimming around in the future. A little dream of mine.
Great family friendly hike with some amazing views. Check out the history prior to going so you have some information for the historical buildings you will encounter. This coming Saturday Nov 4, 2023 from 10am-12pm Talking Talons youth leadership will host an educational event that is open to all ages.
It is so beautiful up here, there are 2 springs and some area for picnic, but not too big where the actual springs are, there is more open space on top before you go to the springs
Great hike and a beautiful end at the springs and natural gardens.
Fun short hike, "springs" are a bit underwhelming tho but still nice how they built them. Parking is hard so plan ahead.
Great little place. Be careful driving in as the road is narrow and gravel and rocks. We had to hike to get to the spring when we went since the direct access road was closed.
This is such a beautiful little gem, one of my favorite places to do a quick nature walk. Please help keep this area clean, pack out your trash, don't put your kids in the springs...they are not for soaking or swimming. Let's not have this place close down again.

Great place to hang out, explore, and picnic. I went with my family in early spring. So still had snow, but we loved it. Unfortunately restrooms are closed from October to April 1st.
For reference I had an oat milk latte. The coffee is fantastic. The hints of cocoa are perfect. I had the lemon poppy seed scone and it was also fantastic. This has become one of my favorite coffee spots around Albuquerque. Definitely recommend you s
An easy to moderately steep climb up with about half the time in shade at most times of the day (less at high noon), very pleasant when it is cool and still fine when it is hotter. No boulder hopping required, but the path is covered with rock shard
Food - We started with the Green Chilli Stew ($6.00) - and ate it so fast we forgot to take a photo! It was very tasty, the pork was tender, there was nice chunks of potatoes, celery and carrots. They also serve it with a small fluffy (fresh made) to
