Very disappointed. I hardly ever leave a review. Ordered jerk wing dinner and jerk shrimp dinner. Take one bite and a long piece of plastic is in food embedded in the rice under chicken. Calling the place back and no answer. I don't want to eat this junk now. They can have the $34. I won't be back.

Food: overall great but it seems to be under new management or something cuz it’s not as good as it was maybe 6-8 months ago. Service: the music is way too loud inside Atmosphere: the place is ok I guess nothing special. Overall: would recommend to eat for sure!

My job has ordered from here a few times and I really like it. This was my first time actually going to the location. I gave 3 stars for service since I tried to call ahead and got no answer, but not unusual for a Jamaican restaurant so I wasn't surprised 🤷🏾‍♀️.. My order was ready faster than I expected though 👍🏾... I got the oxtails which I always enjoy. I will definitely be back. I had the snapper once before which is also good.

My 3rd time at Carribean plate - I took my friend from out of town. The food was just ok, not as good as the first 2x. Lacked authenticity I've come to love of Jamaican cuisine. Rice and peas lacked coconut flavor, but ok. Brown stewed snapper-also lacked seasoning - a bit over salted. Steamed veggies and cabbage were fantastic- nice and crispy and flavorful.

I’m sorry, but the food was so bad. The jerk chicken was awful. Rice and peas, awful. The cabbage, awful. I’ve never had such bad food. Things weren’t flavored or cooked right. I would not recommend this to anyone.

So SALTY! My goodness! I ordered the curry chicken and it tastes like they just poured salt all over the top after plating it! No curry flavor just salt in every bite! Luckily I ordered a side of plantain to cut the salt with some sweet. Also the veg side of cabbage is overcooked and mushy. It’s translucent with no hint of green. The chicken is clearly stale and dried out, when it should be fresh because they were closed the day before. The rice & peas are perfect however. The plaintain were nice too. I remember having a similar experience the last time I ordered. It’s a nice place but they don’t seem to care what they’re serving anymore. I only go there when I can’t be bothered to drive to DC at this point. But it’s a shame because they have so much potential!

My first visit met my expectations. I had the brown stewed chicken which was very good. I could have just used two spoon fulls more of gravy, but otherwise was great! We also had the escovitch snapper which was delish. It was a cool 40 minute drive but worth the time for the flavor!

Went here to grab a quick lunch and was really happy with my choice. I got the small jerk wings, which was hot hot like the menu says but definitely not lacking in flavor. The portion was a great size for lunch. I would have loved to have a bit more cabbage and less rice. I will be back though!
