Caretta on the Gulf - Seafood restaurant in Clearwater Beach - 500 Mandalay Ave, USA

There wasn’t a host up front which is understandable for being a late (9pm) dinner reservation. I saw a few employees walk-by but was never asked if I needed anything. We sat outside with an elegant view of the hotel and the starry night. Our server made the dining experience remarkable. He was attentive, thoughtful and generous to make modifications on my dish. Amazing job to the chef / kitchen staff. From the first bite to last had the same texture and flavor. It is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The bar area had a good crowd with gentleman singing and playing the guitar. Overall, it was perfect evening.

Incredible dining experience. Low lighting, delicious food and impeccable service. We were both able to find a cocktail that suited our tastes as well as a wine to compliment our dinner course.

I lucked out on our trip to Florida, that this place was available to have dinner for Christmas Day! They had a beautiful buffet and it was not just an average buffet. It had everything from three different types of oysters, lamb, just really prime, rib, short, ribs, pasta, sushi it was just amazing a beautiful thing and I had no idea this hotel is right on the beautiful white Sand Beach. I have never been to Clearwater, but I’ll tell you after having dinner and looking at the beautiful views we’ve made plans to come back for their oyster festival in October And I could not be more thrilled. The service was fabulous even though I realize they were absolutely jampacked with people for Christmas dinner. Lovely desserts couldn’t be better!

We came in on a Saturday for a lunch. Parking was free for 3 hours with restaurant validation. The good: - my son liked the tuna taco appetizer. - the views are nice and pretty, overlooking the beach and the ocean. - our waiter was really attentive and friendly. The not so great: - Wygu burger was ok, nothing stood out; we all ordered it medium, and the center of all 4 burgers was gray, no pink at all, the burgers seemed to be of the frozen kind to us. - 1 person in our party ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was very plain and a tag too salty. - Our Caesar salad was not cut, with the entire leaf served, kind of odd but never saw it served in this fashion. All in all, a very plain and ok experience at a high end hotel, nothing stood out to us, flavor.

One of the most beautiful dinners we have ever had! We sat at the corner table on the patio outside and watched the sunset, it was so nice! Our server was excellent!! Appetizers and the sushi were amazing! The stone crab the server recommended was miserably over cooked, I should have gotten a steak but I took a chance I’m not picky I will eat anything, but who cares the view and experience was incredible! Definitely will be back

Upscale yet welcoming, we enjoyed grouper tacos ajd an Exquisite Summer Salad with edible flowers. They have live music by Andy Heath Music (an amazing talent and I’m not biased) excellent service provider by Juan Carlos, Daryna and Brian! Thank you! We will be back🎶

The appearance of the restaurant was quite dark. To read the menu a light is necessary. The menu selection seem to be good. We decided to go with the center cut fillet and Ahi tuna. The tuna was quite dry and the filet not what I expected from this place for that price. The service was very friendly. Overall the price quality doesn't match.

Overall, was good. Sat at bar. The bartenders were amazing! One of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. That said, sushi was excellent, but was absolutely stunned when the put the “colossal” coconut shrimp in front of my friend. It looked like packaged frozen shrimp with canned mandarin orange slices dumped on wilted greens. We were completely shocked. Chicken sandwich over salted and dried out. Unacceptable for price! Do better Carettas or price your food accordingly… totally not worth it.
