What a gem! Short walk to the beach, food, and bars. Rooms are spacious and the little amenities that were provided were great. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this unit in Grand Haven. Check in was easy. The unit was clean and well appointed. There is a tiny kitchen, which was all we needed with great restaurants around. In warmer weather there was a nice porch for sitting.|There is a table and chairs in the living area.

I stumbled upon the Captain's Cottages online when looking for more affordable locations, while still a good location, in Grand Haven. I can't recommend this place enough! Perfect for a couple, or a couple with a toddler or small child. We stayed in the Upperdeck Suite for 3 nights over Father's Day weekend with our 21 month old. It was perfect for us. It has a small balcony you can enjoy a drink on, watch the sunset/rise over the water, or even see glimpses of the nightly waterfront fountain show. The small, galley kitchen has the essentials and some snacks. This allowed us to forego buying breakfast every morning. We rented the beach chairs and umbrella for 2 of the days, and they were honestly great quality -looked brand new! Definitely recommend renting if you'd prefer not to travel with those. We easily walked down to the water/riverwalk, downtown, Imagination Station playground area, and even walked down to the beach one day - though we opted to drive the other days. The place was very clean, jacuzzi worked great, nice fireplace, and overall just an easy booking, check-in & check-out process. We will be back!

We booked Captains Cottage last minute for a Labor Day weekend getaway. The location can’t be beat, the rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The sleeper sofa had a memory foam mattress that the kids said was very comfortable. We appreciated the Kurig, waters, granola bars and popcorn. The bathroom jetted soaker tub was also great. The unit was so clean and the kitchenette was an awesome bonus. We feel grateful we found this gem and hope to visit again. What a great trip!

Comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and nice deck. Could watch the fountain show from the back deck of our unit. Perfect walking distance to town. First time to Grand Haven and won’t be our last. Will stay again.

Absolutely loved this cute and clean cottage in a house near downtown. Everything was walking distance and we appreciated an early checkin the manager allowed for us. The decor is nice and they provided a few morning treats to get us started. Recommend and would stay again.

What a great find.|We stayed one night in the upper deck and due to navigating stairs, we moved to the foredeck suite for the next two nights. It was very clean, easy check in and check out.|Ample living room, bathroom had a jacuzzi. The bedroom was large with a comfortable king size bed. Quiet at night.|There was a little kitchen with fridge, coffee machine and snacks.snacks.|Nice front porch to eat our dinners. Really everything we needed and we felt very safe in these COVID times. |You are across from the harbor and around the block from downtown area with restaurants for eat in or carry out.Since we went in late fall the rates were great. This must be a well kept secret. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Cute rentals and the location is great! 2 blocks to the main shopping drag and just across from the channel yet back off the main traffic street for quietness. Clean and updated, with a small kitchenette (stove, microwave, dishes, keurig, sink), fireplace, balcony, bedroom, and pullout couch. Also included some microwave popcorn, water bottles, and granola bar snacks. Pullout couch was adequately comfortable. 3 units with stairs and private off road parking for one vehicle each. Additional parking on the street. Would stay again and recommend!
