Captain Ron's Bar & Grill - Bar & grill in Sunrise Beach - 82 Aloha Ln, USA

We were seated right away, which was great, but waited about 15-20 minutes before a waitress ever approached us or even offered us water. The food was delicious, but service was almost non-existent. Lots of waiting. I know this does not reflect on all the waiters/waitresses, but it was definitely super poor service the day we went. It wasn't even terribly busy. Despite that, we still tipped over 20%, because I know they are working for those tips. This won't stop me from going back.

Captain Ron’s was a great place to eat at. With multiple things to do like volleyball, swimming, watching fish and turtles, and a bounce house and playground for kids to play on.

My only complaint was it was a bit chilly on the "heated" patio but after a delicious rum runner and smoked wings and delicious pork nachos I warmed up.

We have been to Captain Ron's a few times to eat with just the hubby and I. Food and drinks were excellent! Last week our grandkids were here and we hit up Captain Ron's for 4th of July fireworks on Monday night. The 8 of us had so much fun!!! The grandkids swam in the lake and played with other lake kids. Their parents and us had a frozen cocktail and watched them play. The music was great. The people were all friendly. And the fireworks were AMAZING!!!!! In the past, we have gone to Captain Ron's for the food and beautiful view of our lake but now we will also attend special events there because it is just that good! Thanks for a great time Captain Ron!

If you can't find entertainment here your not trying hard enough. We arrived by boat, plenty of dock space here. Super friendly young ladies help tie you up to the dock. Indoor and covered or uncovered seating available. Indoor bar and separate outdoor tikibar. Sand volleyball court, beach, bags and swimming available. Cabins for rent also. Small gift shop inside too. Cheeseburger and fries was large and well flavored. Wife enjoyed her quesadilla as well, substantial drink menu with lots of fruity type mixed drinks. Not too busy for lunch but a good crowd service was very good.

I was there for the 2023 Shootout. My friend that lives in that area took me there. We both had the pork tenderloin, and I wish I would have taken a picture! It was one of the best I have ever had! (and I work part-time at a restaurant that makes their own also!) Inside, we felt like we were being taken care of. A+ Outside, (I understand I was there for a Big Event!) But, I think if there were better assigned bar staff and stations for easier flow. Maybe set up 1 side of an outdoor bar for walk ups only? The other sides are for sitting customers.

This was our first trip to Captain Ron's, and it was delightful. Very convenient, just a little ways off Hwy 5 But a BIG sign tells you where to turn. Fast, friendly service (kid and family friendly too! They have a playground for the kiddos) and tasty food. Good music at a decent volume. Right on the water with a marina, you can get there by boat or by car. Beach volleyball (2 courts), a playground, a bar, a covered deck, and indoor dining if you prefer. Can't wait for the next opportunity to drop in to Captain Ron's!
