We have gone to Captain D's on & off during business trips for years & found this restaurant & staff extraordinary!! We even ordered additional Tiger Sauce each visit to take home to our FL residence. We intend to visit again soon as a retired couple tfor a get away. Absolutely, superb dining...traveled in the south for years. 👍😋
When we come to Monroe we always stop at Captain Do’s on MLK Blvd. it is always clean, we get exceptional customer service and the food is always on point, fresh and hot!! We have been to other Captain D’s and it’s not always the case! Thank you for doing a top shelf job!!!

I love Captain D's, but didn't get to go on this day. No complaints so far.
The food was excellent. 5 stars for the food. The service on the other hand was absolutely horrible. I couldn't even finish giving my order at the speaker because the lady wouldn't let me. She was talking over me the whole time. I asked for plenty of tartar sauce. We got 6 pieces of fish, 8 hush puppies and fries. They gave me 3 tartar sauces. I asked for a Pepsi, I got an unsweetened tea. 2 of my tartar sauces they gave me were already open. I went in to get more tartar sauce, I asked for some, the lady went and grabbed some then told me to get it out of the dining room. I love the food here, it is always fresh. But having to deal with that service is ridiculous. Unfortunately, I won't be back to this location until the service improves. I've worked fast food, it's not the best. But giving horrible service is unnecessary.
We really enjoyed coming here and eating everyone is so friendly and nice. The food was really hot and fresh we really enjoyed ourselves. And the crew spoke to us when we entered that made us feel so welcome.

Couldn't sit in which was a bummer, but the fish was crispy and fresh. The lovely ladies served us and even gave our kids a little gift for the road. Loved it. Thanks ladies.

We were passing through this city and we were very pleased that we had dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant felt the atmosphere and spirit of antiquity and the sea... The dishes were delicious, the service was unobtrusive, and the walls around
The food was worth the wait! Hot and fresh. The seafood was fresh with no fishy smell, reasonable prices . Really enjoyed the meal. The seafood platter was roughly $15 with shrimps, oysters, stuffed crab, fish strips, fries, coleslaw, ans ranch bean
