Captain Bob's Fresh Seafood - Seafood restaurant in Quakertown - 609 S West End Blvd, USA

First time here with a friend about a week ago who highly recommends this place. You order your food at the window and wait till your order gets called to pick up. Decor is nothing special and the presentation of food is nothing to write home about, but the food was delicious and reasonable. And the way restaurants are now expensive and very little food, I'll take this place any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

If you're a fan of simple yet delicious fresh seafood that doesn't break the bank, Captain Bob's is definitely the spot for you. Unpretentious and welcoming, the moment you step in, you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere adorned with a delightful array of nautical memorabilia. It's the perfect setting to enjoy mouthwatering fried popcorn shrimp and crab cakes with your loved ones. As you glance behind the counter, you're met with the sight of cheerful young staff members who are both hardworking and friendly. Our meal arrived promptly on unassuming paper plates, accompanied by generous portions of crispy French fries and zesty cocktail sauce. All in all, we were delighted by the straightforward charm of the place, making it an ideal casual dining experience. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

Ordered takeout so I cannot speak to the dining area. Excellent customer service. The deviled crab balls and fried jumbo shrimp platter were delicious. The house made coleslaw was reminiscent of my grandmother's. Highly recommend a try. I look forward to my next visit.

I went on a recommendation of an acquaintance. I didn't realize that everything is fried. Everything basically tastes the same. The stuffed shrimp looked huge, but it was mostly filling that was bland and mushy. The combo platter, was fair. Both has a lot of skinny French fries. Just not very flavorful. Only my opinion, but they seem very popular to a lot of people.

Was looking for shredded fried clams and this is definitely the place! Great serving size, great price and friendly service (although it's counter service, not table service) The ambiance is a bit lacking but it's OK.

I always enjoy visiting those "little hole-in-the-wall places when out of town. I knew I had chosen well when I walked in and it was full of locals !!!! The only reason for 4 stars on atmosphere was they need a bigger space, obviously this place is no secret. 😅 Great food, very accommodating help, and very reasonable prices. Keep up the good work Captain Bob !!

Atmosphere is nice but not your typical dinning Atmosphere almost cafeteria style. Now The food is incredible 😍 always fresh and delicious. Cooked to perfection. They also have a store on the other side where you can but their seafood to take home and prepare
