Capri Motel - Motel in Oakland - 722 W MacArthur Blvd, USA

The positives ~ • I appreciated that they took my form of payment, Cash. • The room appeared clean enough. • The TV worked well. • The management was attentive when we couldn't figure out the TV. Ended up the remote wasn't working. Now, on to the less than lovely issues ~ • The room was very run down; it needs some TLC, paint & updating. • It also needs some type of proper window treatments, other than white sheets & packing tape, clear around both windows. • There were cigarette burns, in this NON-smoking room, on furniture & on the bathroom counter. • There were also cigarette burn holes all over the bed spread. • There was NO mirror in the bathroom. • There's NO telephone, so when I couldn't figure out the TV, I had to walk across the parking lot & buzz for some help @ the window. • There was NO way to securely lock myself in the room. The dead bolt was not lined up properly to work, with NO secondary security latch. • I did have an uninvited guest when I woke up. He scurried away when the light came on. • One final issue...outside the rooms, every couple of parking spots, there's a square that is sunken, about ¾ of an inch. This causes a pretty severe trip hazard, especially for the disabled, like me. Thanks for listening...

Room smelled like cigarettes. The toilets broke we had 2 rooms. Drug infested lady in parking lot was hitting drug pipe right in front of us. Bathroom had nasty cigarette burns all on it. Pillows under the pillow case was so black n nasty and smelly. I had to ask for clean sheets to sleep under to kill the funky smell on the pillows and the room. Had keep the bathroom open and window so don't have asthma attack. Just nasty. Shower curtain had mildew all on it.

It's a very nice room real good quality.. I haven't seen a single cockroach nor been bit by a bed bug, not sure why people keep saying that but so far I been here for 2 weeks and been a in two different rooms I'm really comfortable here. Everybody does have there own opinions 🤷😊

You walk in, and the prices are moderate, ($65), and you see this rather large room with gorgeous bed and pillows and all that is just fine! Nice furniture and pretty well matched, TV, telephone, wonderful towels and one of the few that gives you three bath, (one for the hair), nice pictures, walls pretty nicely done, nice amenities such as shampoo, lots of hot water and water pressure; however, walking into the bathroom here, I was abhorred! Dirty, dirty! I do not mind old and cracked sinks, it happens and it cannot be renovated all at one time,but filth? It was also noisy this time around. The bed and pillows, as before, were just wonderful for a good nights rest, the AC had a nice, soft hum to it..

Not my favorite place, but the staff are friendly, but sometimes it can be loud with drama. They do offer rooms with a jacuzzi. There's 2 of these types of rooms. They typically get rented early in the day, so go early for better chances of getting one. Ive never had a room with bugs or anything wrong or broken.

The Front Desk clerks are very rude & uncouth about their Customer service! Don't mention to them that they have "Roaches" because the response will be very unprofessional! Please don't call because you will be met with hosility, especially if you want your money back because of Poor, Lackluster service! I wouldn't even recommend them to Stevie Wonder! 😂😂

This is always my first choice for motels . They have me on file and remember my like and dislikes. The t.v. was a little hard to understand ( controlling it ) but the manager was more than happy to help me out . And I didn't like that they charge 25 cents for ice . But minor nuisances compared to the friendly service and staff. Also be prepared to spend 90-$100.00 a night. I asked for weekly prices but they don't do weekly. In short, as long as you don't cause know problems and stay chill. Then this is a good hotel. Owned by forieners, but they gave asimalted to american ways and customs so it's all good. I have no complaints about this place except the ice machine and the t.v. was complicated. Takes two remotes

The room not worth the price the they charge. No mirror, phone, dresser, microwave, and TV didn't work. At checkout they didn't give my whole deposit back. Only given me ten bucks back
