Great bar ! Second time at EMRTC, bartenders were the best, can't remember their names. Got there on a Sunday, went right there after checking in, really good beers. Went back for more mid-week, same bartender, talked some more, drank some too ! Another course at NMT in January, back to the Cap... I Love this Place !

Service was great at getting people safely served last night. As with any pub, things vary with the time of day and number of people. The owners strive to make it an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. The Capital Bar is a historic place and has loyal patronage from the community and many NMT alums. Well worth a visit if you have never been inside.

We are from Socorro and have spent many an evening in The Capitol! However, we don't visit very often and this our first time in The Capitol since 2004. We really like what Joanna and Earl have done with the place. It is bright and clean, the food menu looks great (we showed up late so we didn't try any food), and the beer selection was awesome! Great selection of their own brew and tons of other options. We tried the Jailbreak IPA and it was delicious. Nice citrus flavors and no bitterness. Finally and most importantly the service was top-notch. Roxy was friendly, attentive and professional. She explained that she was new and had to check with the more experienced person when we had questions. She was able to get answers quickly from the other staff member. Unfortunately we did not get her name because she was also very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely be back to The Capitol when we visit Socorro again!.

This bar has been a staple of this town for decades. There's a old rumor that if you get drunk at this bar no matter what you do it you'll always return back to Socorro lol. Besides that the atmosphere Is nice here drinks are priced as you'd expect for a bar.

Great spot in Socorro—$3 beer on Wednesday nights and billiards table

Icon and absolute staple of socorro. They have karaoke on Tuesday and trivia night every other Thursday. They had a tough period over covid but they're coming back strong as ever! If you haven't been here, either you don't drink, or don't live in socorro, or last option just have bad taste. Super friendly staff, sometimes the customers can become a bit much though.
