This place may have been really nice when it was new. That's not the case now. The carpets are dirty, the bathroom ceiling has mildew on it, the tissue dispenser in the bathroom is covered in rust. It's shabby and run down. If you are on the second floor, be prepared to lug your bags up stairs because there isnt an elevator. When we checked in, we were told there was an available room on the first floor and were given a key. As soon as we entered the room, we could see other people's personal items and realized the room was already occupied. We returned to the desk and were given a room upstairs. When we got to that room, we found the door ajar, but it was unoccupied. It was explained to us that housekeeping must not have closed the door. If all you want is a cheap place to stay, this isn't bad. If you care about it being clean, this isn't the place.

First of all, I feel the amenities have not been mentioned fully: there's an indoor and outdoor pool, a jacuzzi (which was not on whenever we were there), a laundry room, a business center and an evening restaurant next door. The lobby is very nice upon arriving except for the cigarette smell. The room was super comfortable with a very friendly, accommodating and quirky (in a fun, playful way) staff. The one thing I will say is that conversations can be heard in the hallway. I do not know how loud these people were speaking, though. There are a couple stains in the carpet, but not at all to make the room seem dirty. I genuinely believe that if there are any problems with the rooms it is a previous tenant problem because the morning I walked the halls, the people who were "partying" the night before had left trash in the halls. Overall, I would say that this was the best stay for the price: $45 for the night. We will be going here in the future. I have gone to a lot of hotels in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area, and either the service is bad and/or the rooms genuinely do have things like broken doors and unplugged smoke detectors for a higher price.

It was kind of like the hotel in the shining (in a good way), it was so quiet it felt like no one else was there until you saw them. The swimming pool is indoor and outdoor, which the kids loved! But it was huge and we were upstairs, luckily we didn't have a lot of luggage because there wasn't an elevator. And when we left we had to turn right to leave and then make a u-turn to get where we wanted to go. But other than that it was great, older, but nice enough for the money. Better than we expected, will definitely stay again, but will ask for downstairs next time.

ZERO STARS is the more accurate rating! We arrived early and were told they would have a room available around 230. Checked back at 3, still no room! When we came back from our Son's wedding at 11pm, the desk clerk had a hard time "finding" our reservation. He was not friendly or helpful in ANY way. Didnt even explain where our room was! Once we got into our room, the bed looked like a 600lbs person had slept in the bed for 6 months! There was a HUGE worn out spot in the center of the king size bed that you couldn't help falling into when you sat on the edge! We even tried to sleep on the pullout couch! That was just as bad! The surrounding walls of the tub were stained, the room smelled of old cigarettes, the hallway carpet looked as though someone had dumped bleach on different areas, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceilings, the hot tub wasn't working, the pool was dirty, ALL of the ice machines were broken/out of order, there were 3 inch cockroaches everywhere! For not having any rooms available for a check in time of 3pm ... at 11pm there were only 10-15 cars in the parking lot and no more than 20 cars at 6am. Apparently they had issues with housekeeping staff for them to be so far behind schedule! We would rather sleep in our vehicles than stay at this place!

I really hate leaving a bad review, but I feel like I have to warn others. While the lobby looks decent, the room we stayed at was a whole different matter.
The carpeting in the room had multiple stains scattered throughout; the upholstered chair was also stained.
The comforter had a big bright pink stain (which honestly makes me wonder if the even washed the bedding after previous guests since it could have easily been bleached). Besides that the bed was okay and I was able to rest all night. No bed bugs.
In the bathroom, the toilet didn't flush.
Baby pacifier was found under the bed (not mine).
We paid $90+ to stay here. I have seen $50 motel room look better than this.
TLDR; dirty floors, dirty bedding, non-flushing toilet. Things that SHOULD always be decent.
Staff was nice and respectful.

The hotel was for my son and his two friends. I did not read the reviews online before booking the reservation. I wish I had. My son said the rooms were disgusting. The room smelled bad and also had roaches. He did notify management and his room was changed. However, I would suggest that the owners do a better job of keeping their motel clean. After the incident with my son, I read the reviews and all the bad things that was sad is true.

I DO NOT recommend staying here. The hotel is NOTHING like the pictures. There is stains all over the carpets, the bathroom mirror was stolen off the wall, and our ac was set at 60 and wasn’t working. When telling reception we were told, “we can’t do anything about it.” They offered a fan which we took and they said they had to walk it up as if we were going to steal it. I’ve been in contact with the hotel for two days now and they offered 50% refund. I said okay. They then come back to call me a liar and say the ac was working and that I was aware of the stains and that I will not be getting a refund. Awful customer service, staff, management, accommodations, and looks.

I thought I was getting a good deal for a king size room one night for $100 prepaid. I was told I could park my bike under the front cover. I went in to check in and was immediately told that I owed them an additional $0.96. I said no. They couldn't find my reservation until I showed my confirmation email. The hotel is a two story with no elevator. Our original room was on the second floor, but I wanted a room on the first floor. They gave us the key to a room that already had someone's things in it. When we told the front desk, they changed us back to our original room on the second floor. When we went to open our second room, the door was left open by the previous person who had entered. (Spooky) The tv didn't work so the person from the front desk came up to fix it. We were asked to move our bikes away from the front cover or risk being towed. ( I was not happy!) The carpet in the room was nasty and needs to be replaced. The mold in the bathroom was just painted over so it still showed and still growing. Food was not offered in the hotel. The good parts of the room were cold air conditioner, great hot water pressure, and plenty of pillows. IHOP is 11 miles north of there. Great breakfast on Mother's Day!
