Such a lovely staff! The place is very calm and welcoming. They have tables outside and several seating inside, including high chairs with “working station” by the windows facing the street where you can charge your phone or laptop. Apart from the coffee and tasty breakfast options they also offer some groceries where you can buy anything from meat, fish, fresh veggies, pasta and other necessities, also prepared meals and delicious sandwiches.

Love this place! I highly recommend for a quick stop by for coffee or a bite to eat! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly as well. I think the vibe is a little all over the place though, the market/dining area is a little confusing when people are shopping right next to you while you’re drinking coffee. Food is good but would love to see some better variety of menu items. My avocado toast was a little unimpressive. The sandwich area is definitely a great touch but would benefit from some sort of “text when ready” system. I see a lot of potential and love how Cape Roots contributes to Harwich Port so far!

Love this gem in downtown Harwichport. Coffee is always very good, tea selections abound and yummy eats. The interior space is very spacious and comfortable for solo or meeting others.

The woman taking our order was way more focused on talking about the weather than getting my order correct. Gave me a cold brew instead of a latte. Also, the rest of my party agreed coffee was pretty bitter, had to add extra sweetner.

Great market to pick up beach food and snacks for the day. Great breakfast and lunch selection. Stellar coffee. Only knocking off stars because: Had a fairly long line both times I was here, moved sort of slow for a coffee line.

This place is top notch in every department. Food is, I'd say, top 3 for sandwiches on cape . Bakery is bustin bustin. Service is on point and friendly. The grocery choice is great . The price point is high, but it's completely worth it for the specialty items. Honey made in ORLEANS ..... FIRE!!! You owe it to yourself to check this place out it checks all the happy boxes. There was one time I went there, and the guy helping us was tired and hung over, but he was like 19, and it's summer on Cape Cod go hard or go home

As homeowners in Harwich, we are delighted to have Cape Roots as a convenient place to grab coffee, quick bites or small pantry items. This summer, we decided to make it our local sandwich shop for our lunch breaks from the beach. Unfortunately, the sandwiches are simply not good due to their use of bad, processed bread and tasteless filler ingredients. What makes it sting the most, is the price. If they want to continue to charge what they do for their sandwiches, I suggest using higher quality bread, at least, maybe from a local bakery? You can make much tastier sandwiches, with better quality ingredients for a lot less at home. I’d be happy to pay for the convenience but the sandwiches are mushy, tasteless and overpriced. We will continue to support the business but will be steering clear of their prepared foods.
