It’s always awesome seeing my puppy get so excited to come to the vet. Being a Shiba she’s a bit dramatic but they’ve been really patient with her since I picked her up back in September. I would recommend Dr. Nye and her team without hesitation and I know Momo would say the same.

Never really received the best care for our puppy here. They never really paid attention to our concerns. One time, when we took our puppy in for his vaccination appointment we brought up a concern with a bump on his gum after the vaccination procedure. The doctor's assistant initially tried to dismiss it and said it was nothing and could be an injury caused by rough play or chewing. We were not convinced and asked to see the doctor since they never took us in to see the doctor while he was getting vaccinated. The doctor came out into the waiting area to take a quick look and dismissed it with the same reasoning his assistant gave us. It was not a cut, it was a very clear and concerning bump that was not healing. We also mentioned he had a bad stomach for a few days so he just prescribed metronidazole and we were not given clear dosage instructions and were asked to stop it when his stools get better. We did this later only to see his tummy get worse again and read up about the tablet and realize that it's an antibiotic that needs to be taken for the entire duration of the prescribed dosage and not on an as needed basis like we were told by the doctor's assistant. A few days later the bump on his gum just got bigger and we reported this to canyon pet saying it was dismissed the last time we brought it up. Only then did the doctor take our puppy in to treat it. But even then they took him in asking us to stay outside, performed an excision of the bump without letting us know and said he swallowed the excised piece therefore they wouldn't be able to send it to biopsy. After this they prescribed a heavy dosage of sedative for our 6 month old puppy that had him completely disoriented and unable to walk straight or hold his pee even though we could see our baby was trying really hard since he was potty trained. They did not even tell us what to expect with this sedative when we had clearly told them we were first time dog parents.

We've been going to Canyon pet with our cat and dog for 5+ years now. Every single visit we've received personal and well thought out care. Cost can be a consideration, and that subject is always respected. Most of all, our furry family are treated very well. We highly recommend Canyon Pet for your furry family members.

My golden retriever had a terrible infection in his groin area due to hot spots, and he could barely walk. His normal vet is in central Oregon, and we were having difficulty finding someone to see him here in town. We called Canyon Pet Hospital in the morning, they answered the phone right away, and were able to squeeze him in within 2 hours. Not only that, but when we arrived they were so sweet and caring, as though he had been their patient all along. After the visit they called to check-up on him, and sent a welcome check-in letter as well. We will be taking all of our dogs here when we can't take them to central Oregon. Staff was nice on the phone my dog needed to see a vet that day. Hers was booked out for days. So we're they but they did give me names of other places I can call.
