Popped in for happy hour! The empanadas were one point 💕 Service was quick and attentive, facility was clean, food and drinks were delicious! We’ll be back 😊

Food was very good and flavorful. We loved all the vegan options. Our waitress was tentative and friendly.

We were seated pretty quickly. Food was great. Ambiance was good too. For appetizers, we had the fried plantain (a special), Yuca Fries with Chiptole Mayo, and Chips & Guacamole Tradicional. For mains, we ordered a chimichanga, burrito, chicken mole and enchilada verde. All were tasty goodness. Food came out fast, furious & fresh as hell. Solid food & service in Northern Liberties.

Such a beautiful vibe and I swear the most tasty margaritas I’ve had in Philly! (Spicy mango Marg with a salt rim if you were curious 😉). So many vegan options and the waitress was sweet and accommodating. Would recommend! Awesome place to chill with friends or go for a cute date. You won’t regret it :)

My main issue was how disorganized and chaotic it is here. I was originally going to make a reservation for the specific reason of hating putting my name down and waiting, but I originally didn't see that option on their site. HOWEVER, their process for walk-ins reminds of college bars. You put your name down, they write it on a slip of receipt paper... But there's more than 1 piece of receipt paper floating about. They don't text you, just walk around yelling names and being confused with each other about who called who. Several tables stood empty, some because they just haven't cleaned it off in 10 minutes. You have to stand in a long que to get in. Though not their fault, the majority of the clientele stands in front of either bars after they've ordered and have gotten their food and drinks, and don't move because I guess no one else wants to order in their minds. The food was okay, we generally order a whole bunch for the table tapas style. I have a serious problem when a Mexican place charges for chips & salsa, generally if I see that I know it's a high chance I'll be disappointed by the food. I must have skipped over that the chicken empanadas had corn in them, wasn't a fan. The carne asada in the chimichangas was good, but it was less a chimichanga, more a burrito. The Mexican style tacos were good, however I was disappointed by flour tortillas. The tamarindo wings were okay. Was a fair bit disappointed with how small the margarita pitchers were, flavors were good and more tart than sweet. Possibly the issue was the day it was, but I'm not sure I'd give it another go on a chiller night.

*EDIT* I have been coming here 2-3 times a week recently. The food was always great and I loved the service. Tonight they ruined it and I won’t be back. Literally have taken atleast 30 people here because I enjoyed it so much but never again. I went two nights in a row. Friday was incredible, with great service. Saturday was terrible. Ordered a vegan burrito, it had meat in it. My friend ordered the EXACT SAME BURRITO. We both got seitan burritos. Took a couple bites of mine and my stomach instantly hurt. Knew something was off immediately. I compared what was in my burrito to my friends. They were different colors, different textures. His was brown, spongy, had holes in it. Mine was white, fleshy, and rubbery. Everyone at the table tasted both, and every single person said there was zero chance that mine was seitan. The server argued with me about it for the rest of the time we were there. Then made several very rude remarks about it, and talked loudly about it to other staff. I was forced to pay for something I took two bites of that had meat in it. It was an infuriating. So unfortunately it only takes one bad experience to ruin 100 good ones. I will never go back, and I am advising anyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. I have never minded paying the ridiculous prices here, but I do mind paying for something I didn’t want. So I’ll be going to Sancho Pistolas exclusively from this point on.

Great hole in the wall Mexican spot in Northern Liberties. It had a cool vibe and nice wait staff. Got complimentary chips and salsa to start, then ordered the vegan empanadas which were excellent. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food and drinks; the quesabirria tacos I got were excellent. Fresh ingredients with a ton of flavor. Would definitely return.
