Canopy Road Cafe - Breakfast restaurant in St Johns - 90 The Shops Blvd Unit #10, USA

Just had breakfast here with the family for the first time. The only negative is the wait for a table, but that’s because they’re doing something right. Food and service was great. My daughter loved her cookie dough waffle, and my eggs benedict were on point. Look forward to coming back and trying something else.

Good vibe, i would say similar to first watch, but more diner style food. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and boooooy it melted in my mouth and did not need syrup. Smoked link was tasty as well. Recommend stopping by if you in the area

I had an amazing experience at Canopy Rd. in St. John’s. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was at a family restaurant where I was the center of attention. The staff knew exactly how to take care of their guests, and the food surpassed any other breakfast place in town. I highly recommend Canopy Rd. for a fantastic dining experience.

Wow! First time going here and it certainly won’t be the last. 100/10 on all fronts honestly. So glad that this place is so close to home. Hostess stand was awesome and our waitress was so nice! Super impressed. The fact that it was the middle of busy breakfast time and we had the experience we did, just wow. Thank you guys for being a good spot for our family to visit.

Stopped by for breakfast today and our server, Sarah was amazing. I went with my senior parents and Sarah was so patient, attentive, and kind to them. The food was delicious with generous portions. Didn’t take any pics since we were starving. I’ll definitely be coming back.

So I’ve been really excited to try this place out and I finally went with my daughter. We both got the Benedict. She got the regular version and I got the BLT version. We both ordered hashbrowns as well to go with our meal. I was served a half portion, and my daughter received a full portion which I thought was very strange. The waitress never showed up to check on us to see how our meal was so we weren’t able to tell her that I only received a half portion of the hash browns. When we told her about it, she just showed up with the check and said oh OK I’ll get you more. Which she did. My Benedict was tasteless. Not enough sauce. The English muffin was not even toasted so I felt like I was eating raw bread. So disappointed. Needless to say, I will never go back. Total waste of $ and time.

The front wait staff could use some training related to customer service. When they took my info they seemed extremely annoyed we chose to dine there. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait. It needed up being a 26+ minute wait. This was not that big deal. What was a big deal was the lack of friendliness of the staff and lack of cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors and walls were filthy and the condition of the booth was appalling. It was falling apart and was uneven. The amount of visible dust on the light fixtures was also disgusting. Since we decided to leave we did not order.

Update 8/10/22: Changed a 3 star rating to a 5 star. Glad I came back a year later to try this place again. Huge improvement on the food! Nice presentation, and delicious. Service was great. Original review: Had high expectations based on reviews from friends and reading them online. Beautiful place. Nice seating arrangements. I was not as impressed with the food as I thought I would be. What we ordered tasted like an average brunch for the most part. The “Big Daddy” had potatoes that tasted like they were from the day before. I was not a fan of the gravy, and the film on top was proof it had been sitting. The rye toast was great. The “Goat In The Garden” was the fave. The “Avocado BLT Benny” was good. The “wow” factor wasn’t really there. Previous presentations of food I’ve seen were better than we got. Fruit was cold, fresh, and delicious. Service was fine, although food came out at separate times (party of four). Location is awesome.
