Truly can’t say enough good things about our stay at Canoe Place. The room was absolutely beautifully designed and so spacious. The fireplace was such a highlight — especially during the colder evening hours! And the terrace patio was awesome! Honestly I want to design our home exactly like they’ve designed this space. It’s gorgeous. We golfed during our stay and the inn staff were so wonderful in helping us coordinate golf club receipt and return shipping. 10/10 recommend staying here and we’re already talking about when we can go back!

I have the best to say about Canoe Place Inn and cottages, which I visited for two enjoyable knights in November 2023. I found the rooms beautifully decorated and super clean. The personnel, especially the manager, VERY attentive to my needs, and most understanding and helpful with any issue I had! The location is great: close to the ocean and shopping, sheltered yet close to major roads. The fully restored buildings are inviting though respects the history of the place. It was a sheer delight all together to visit a place which places the customer in the center of their service! Did I mention the exquisite dining experience? I cannot recommend Canoe Place Inn and Cottages enough to anybody who visits the area! Best regards, Eva Rose

We spent a night here when we attended the holiday-themed Candlelight Concert. Everything about our little getaway was magical — the festive music, the cozy yet modern decor, the farm-to-table dishes, and the wonderful people we've met! Canoe Place Inn felt like a family-run business because every single staff was warm and welcoming. I'm so glad we didn't go to our other usual spots in the Hamptons and this new gem we discovered will certainly be a place we return once our little one arrives this year :) Perhaps a new family tradition!

We attended the Candlelight a tribute to Queen by Fever The room was beautiful. The musicians were exceptional. They were so entertaining and personable. String quartet sounded like 10 people playing. Will definitely attend another.

Canoe Inn and Place proved to be a stellar experience during our recent stay. Under the attentive management of Mario, our comfort was a top priority, as he regularly checked in to ensure our satisfaction. The concierge team, Molly and Jill, stood out for their helpfulness and genuine kindness at the front desk. Gaby and Jill took the morning experience up a notch with their attentive service during the complimentary breakfast, offering an array of fresh local fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and other high-quality selections. The housekeeping staff combined attentiveness and efficiency to maintain a consistently pristine environment. However, it's the property itself that steals the spotlight—a true gem that made our stay exceptional from start to finish.

My husband & I are most certainly going to return because the customer service was top notch meeting all our many |(some unexpected) needs from our late dinner room service to our exquisite coffee bar in morning. We greatly enjoyed the crab dish and Waygu burgers. Canoe Place has an amazing authentic European experience down to the details of the majolica pottery, the rustic wooden furniture, and the sterling at the fruit & cheese filled continental breakfast table. Very accommodating hosts and quality detailed historic Inn. Can not wait to try the spa next time.| Highly recommend!

Canoe Place Inn is special. We’ve just come back from spending 10 days at this lovely hotel for the second year. The hotel happened to be honoring its one-year anniversary at the same time as our visit to our daughter Amy and son-in-law Pete who live around the corner in Hampton Bays. Because of the special occasion, we were fortunate to be able to take advantage of a celebratory reduced rate. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely, personalized note as well as our favorite treats provided by the gracious management. We were assigned one of the largest corner rooms with an expansive balcony, which was a bonus that we took the utmost advantage of thanks to having beautifully sunny October weather. The massive king bed was incredibly comfortable and so large I could barely find my husband in it! The bathroom was huge, with a separate vintage bathtub next to a fireplace, a spacious shower with a bench, and his and hers sinks.||Amenities include a stunning heated pool, which I had all to myself every morning for my daily swim. The complimentary European-inspired breakfast is delightfully delicious and includes house-made croissants and muffins, fresh fruit, granola, meats and cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, and the most decadent French yogurt. Since it’s off-season, the restaurant and bar are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but the staff was still willing to accommodate my desire for an afternoon martini. Good Ground Tavern is open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, including Happy Hour from 5-7 PM, and they now offer brunch on the weekend. Everything we ate was delicious, including the best gnocchi my husband has ever had. ||The Place, as they lovingly call it, is also adorned with artwork from the private collection of the owners Greg and Mitchell Rechler, and includes a bevy of stunning contemporary works by the likes of Doug Aitken, Yoan Capote, Tony Tasset, Jeffrey Gibson, and several whimsical embroidered pieces by Elsa Hansen Oldham.||But what truly makes Canoe Place special are the people who work there. Thank you to the General Manager, the magnificent Mario, front desk Manager Molly, Jill and Mateja, and our server Kelly, bartender Steven, and restaurant managers Ibenz and Jake, all of whom took exceptional care of us during our stay. You made our visit incredibly memorable, and we look forward to returning next year. We hope many more people will come and take advantage of this perfect retreat.||Sandy (and Alan) S.|San Pedro, California|

Charming Getaway with a Few Hiccups Our celebration of my husband's birthday at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages was a delightful experience, marked by wonderful moments and a couple of minor setbacks. The location's aesthetic, combined with its dog-friendly policy, made for a perfect setting. The standout feature of our stay was the exceptional service, particularly from the front desk staff. The gentleman from Montenegro and the blonde hostess at the restaurant went above and beyond in their roles, making us feel special and well-cared-for throughout our stay. The hostess's willingness to help us with a TV issue, not part of her job, exemplified exceptional customer service. Dining at the property's restaurant was a highlight. The food was consistently delicious, with the mushroom pasta deserving a special mention for its exquisite flavors. However, the roasted chicken, while promising, lacked the same culinary flair and could benefit from some refinement. Our ground-floor accommodation brought its own challenge – noise from the unit above, mainly caused by a child running around. This was quite disruptive, often sounding like a continuous thunderstorm in our room. We are thankful to the front desk for addressing this issue promptly, though it was a recurring theme during our stay. Despite these small issues, Canoe Place Inn & Cottages left a lasting impression on us with its charming ambiance, excellent service, and delightful cuisine. We are definitely planning a return visit, perhaps opting for a room on a higher floor to ensure a more tranquil experience. The property, with its mix of comfort, luxury, and attentive staff, remains a top choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. 🏡🍴🐕🌳

Off season here can be very chill. It's generally pretty easy to get a table once the tourists have gone home and the food is definitely worth the trip to the bay. We ordered clams and oysters on the half shell and both were awesome! Very fresh, very

Strange trail, starts off as a car trail that leads to someone’s house. After you pass the house a cool walking trail starts that takes you to a marsh and then a spectacular beach. Definitely worth doing I would wear boots the marsh is a bit sloppy
