It was beautifully decorated. Very spacious room (except the bathroom). The view was decent. Windows that actually open and allow fresh air are great! It's a very old hotel with lots of history. If you enjoy antiques, you'll enjoy your stay here.
The room was nasty, the fridge had pubic hair in it, toilet seat was broken, smelled like weed in hallway, and there was garbage everywhere...won't be back again!!!! Didnt even stay an hour...wouldnt give us a refund either!
UPDATE 9-13. No reply at all from the hotel in regards to the partial refund I was promised... Taking the dispute up with Expedia. Do not stay here
This stay was a nightmare. Upon a lengthy check in with a disheveled but pleasant front desk worker (over 20 mins to hand write several receipts and various paperwork) we were informed there would be no hot water. It was 11:30pm & we were checking out fairly early so we agreed that we would be able to get by without it. Upon arriving in our room, it was freezing. The app on my phone told me it was 55° in the room & 62° outside. After 8 or 9 phone calls with the front desk, We were informed our complaint would first be logged in a log book, which I said was unacceptable, we were then told the manager could be texted because he "lived all the way in Wisconsin." If you are aware of the distance between Dubuque & Wisconsin it is approximately 5 minutes. Also we are from Wisconsin & can confirm there is phone service there. A phone call was eventually made to the owner who informed the front desk clerk to tell us that we could check out immediately, at this point it is 12:30 a.m. and get a full refund. I had also been messaging with Expedia and was told the same thing via their chat app. I was then offered a 50% refund if we decided to stay. Since it was so late we decided to ask for more blankets, bundle up, block the air ducts with towels, and hunker down for the night. It is now Monday night and I have heard nothing from the hotel in regards to my partial refund. The room was adequately clean and extremely dated. Would not recommend
UPDATE. it's Wednesday. Still no communication from this hotel.
Our room was very clean . There was a smell of musty smoke throughout the hotel . The noise from the karaoke lounge woke us up . It was what we needed for the price .
Atmosphere is very extremely quiet so it and friendly,
They have been doing some changes..I like how it is more lighting when you first come in .and seams like trying to fleshing up the place
Our experience was amazing, they were all so accommodating. We had a mishap in our room and a wine bottle broke. They donât have bell boys and the person to help clean it was the receptionist at the front desk. She offered to clean it for us which
I had been eyeing Ignite every time I drove by for quite some time. Iâm glad I finally signed up for a class!
When I arrived for the class both the instructor and the studio owner were there. Both were friendly, welcoming, and seemed excited to hav
Been trying to get here for years, and was finally able to make-it when they're open. LOTS of options (from sandwiches, to meats, to prepared meals), all seemed very reasonably priced.
It's not a big place, but they pack a lot into the small space (
