Nice local fried food and ice cream stand in northern Selma with a huge variety of both savory and sweet treats! They do not have indoor seating, but have a large porch and three picnic tables out front. Online ordering is available. There's a fair amount of parking along the side. Staff are friendly, and if ordering at the window, will text you when it's ready. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak, grilled chicken wrap with fries, Oreo cupcake shake, and strawberry cupcake shake. The cheesesteak was great quality on both bun and steak, though I wish there would have been more in it. Wrap and fries were good. Shakes were the real highlight, though; both great (strawberry tasted fruity and not artificial or too sugary), and messy fun picking apart to enjoy!
Hey Y'all Hey!!! So Kam and I got the opportunity to do some Market Research at the Candy Lady. When I tell you that the Customer Service was Amazing. The prices were reasonable!!! She has available seating outside. She also has parking spots available so that you won't have to park on the road. Oh yeah she also let my daughter try a product(frozen pickle pouch)before purchasing it that was Major. If you are ever in the Selma Alabama area please stop by and support her. I will definitely be back to support her. P.S. You can't miss her!!! Check out the pics!!! And I even got the opportunity to chat with her. It's the customer service for me.
During my research for our trip. I saw "The Candy Lady" establishment on the internet. Knowing that we were coming to visit Selma, Alabama and needed things to do for three senior citizens and two children. This I knew would be a great stop, and it did not disappoint. The shop owners were very courteous, friendly, accommodating, As well as knowledgeable about all the desserts and even the area. From the banana split to the crazy color ice cream to the most delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream I ever had. The Candy Lady will tantalize your taste buds, reinforce your Southern comfort, and definitely encourage your sweet tooth. When you need that sugar fix....The Candy Lady is where it's at.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏆🙂
Owner is as sweet as her treats! Have not tried anything from there that I have not liked. If you can luck up and go on a day when she has banana pudding, get it!
I stopped by to try the Candy Lady this week, and I can tell you that every city needs a Candy Lady! The menu is filled with anything you can possibly think of, from traditional wings, burgers and fries to funnel cakes, speciality ice cream shakes, delicious pies, candied fruits, only to mention a few.... Oh, my favorite, shaved ice! You choose your favorite flavor! Although, the prices were reasonable, They were confusing to some of the customers that were there during my visit. Posted menu price lists were not consistent.( I think, some prices were posted with or without tax.) However, I will visit again when I'm in the area.
This is a kind of cool eclectic place in the middle of Selma Alabama I had the pork chop there which was delicious
Stopping into this adorable little candy shop was such a lovely experience. The "Candy Lady" is a Selma business owner who has it figured out. Delicious food and out of this world desserts. I had a grilled chicken wrap, and a slice of fried strawberry cheesecake. The chicken wrap was flavorful and moist. while the cheesecake was not overly sweet and made me want to buy a deep fryer.
Awsome experience and a great tribute to the city of Selma, Al
I love it. The food is soooo delicious. We stay for hours, it's so relaxing. And the drinks are the bomb. Get on up and go try it for yourself. Ask for Jessica Rush. She's very welcoming, and she fixes the best drinks. She is very good at her job.
Perfect amount of food for the inexpensive price and the flavor and taste is on point.... And its real food not that processed garbage we stop at daily... Save yourself the trouble of debating and go there your soul will thank you
A local favorite and must-try if youâre visiting Selma, Lannieâs is well-loved by Selmans and tourists alike and was recommended to us by everyone we spoke to. Their food comes out piping hot, tender and crispy! The bbq plates and catfish were a
I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed it. They have a dining side of the house and a lounge side of the house. We went to the lounge to enjoy the love music. It was very busy for a Thursday and the lounge side has the feel of a drive bar and
The food! The food! The food! Amazing, Delectable, and Delicious. When we were there we had to eat in the car (no inside dining); but the food is so good you will not mind ð
Great service! I went in and they were extremely busy but despite being overcrowded I was still greeted with tremendously superb service, a friendly face, and even though they were busy, very prompt service!
This was an horrible experience. When I got in the room it was too late and I was too tired to change rooms. Also, I clean my own room and use my own towels anyways, when I visit hotels. Their was no cable TV the whole week. I also went two days with
