Candlewood Suites Wilson, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Wilson - 2915 Independence Dr, USA

We loved everything about the hotel. The checkin was smooth. I couldn't check in on the date I was supposed to check in but it was no problem. The young man told me not to worry about it. He checked me in. Front desk staff was superb. That Chris Lord have mercy he's so funny and helpful!!! All of the staff was so delightful and respectful. ||One thing though please add a phone and a clock in the rooms.

NO towels in the bathroom which I didn’t realize until I got OUT of the shower!! NO soap in the dispenser which meant no way to wash myself and worse of all- NO hot water!!! We had to take cold showers! I picked an IHG hotel thinking good quality but boy, was I wrong- a waste of our $ for sure, when there were other hotel chains available to choose from!!

Staff was friendly, in fact the guy who checked me in went above and beyond. I cannot remember his name but it was late/early morning and I was tired. When I brought the luggage cart in with all my stuff, it was obvious i was struggling with maneuvering it through the small door (my only complaint). Like a gentleman, he immediately offered to take over for me and pushed it to the elevator.

Positive: Room had been redone and was clean and comfortable. It was on the first floor, as requested. Negative: I was surprised that there was no breakfast available - only coffee! I was traveling with a small dog. I carry my own baggies, but there was no disposal can in the back area. Negative: ""

The staff was kind and helpful. The room was spacious with a cute kitchenette. The hotel was very clean and offers free laundry facilities and extended stays. No pool but the gym was clean with nice equipment. They also have the Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash wall dispensers which I love. I actually left my toiletries bag in the room and they called me to inform me. I was already too far away to come back so they made arrangements to send it to me free of charge. Thanks guys. I really didn't want to replace that bag full of stuff. Keep up the good work.

We stayed in a candlewood suite in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this summer, and it was delightful. We thought we would try the “brand” again, and were disappointed. The staff were extremely pleasant, and I blame this on the management. Frankly, I find it hard to believe that this was an IHG facility. We went to our first room and the smell was so bad we couldn’t stay in the room. They allow pets in the rooms and last pet probably needed a bath very badly. We went back to the front desk and she said that the second floor didn’t allow pets. However the elevator call button only works going up and so we would have to walk down with our luggage. We decided on trying another room on the first floor which did not smell. It was old and tired. There Is a picture of the stained phone keypad. There is coffee 24 hours but it’s only machine coffee. Notice the grate from the refrigerator was not in place in the coffee room. no lids left to put on the coffee to carry back to the room. It needed to be restocked. There were only 2 cups left. Get your act together IHG

We are loyal IHG customers. We stayed here since we were going to be in the area for 2 nights and thought having some extra room would be nice. The area was fine nothing made us uncomfortable even coming in after 11 pm. Check in process was pretty simple as usual. Entry way was very small and not what is customary for IHG hotels. The elevator was extremely slow. The hall ways were very outdated and worn. The room itself was spacious and felt comfortable with newer amenities available but still a bit outdated. I was excited that our bed was actually a king instead of a queen we expected. The only issue was that since the door would not open all the way it was difficult to use both sides of the bed to get in and out. A sacrifice I’m happy to make for the king bed but others may not. The bathroom was clean but the shower pressure was very poor. And I would have appreciated someone taking out the trash at least during a multiple night stay

I love the sunsets here. The patio in the back provides a little quiet from the busy streets in the front. You are literally .5 miles, within walking distance of everything from salons, restaurants, retail shopping, anything you can think of. Door Dash is amazing and super fast! The staff is great and always happy to help make your day! On the weekday, night shift, the front desk clerk knows the stuff! Goes above and beyond. Greets everyone with a smile and a positive attitude. Very knowledgeable of the business and what it takes to obtain success. Very valuable employee! I wish there were more that strive to improve and grow in this industry. Caring goes along way! 💯
