Candlewood Suites Pearland, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Pearland - 9015 Broadway St, USA

Location was good and staff was friendly. However, hotel was humid and musky. Lots of issues with people smoking in hotel. Didn’t always feel safe. Needs a lot of repairs and maintenance. Also needs extermination. Not the norm I’m used to in a Candlewood Suites. Has potential to be a great property. Unfortunately would not stay again.

I have traveled a lot. I have stayed in fancy places and not so great places. However this stay was great. For the price, I got exactly what I expected. It’s definitely nothing fancy but it was safe and quiet. The hallway and the room was a little outdated and definitely could use a facelift. However, at this price I was surprised, the bed was clean, bathroom was clean and it was comfortable. The front desk was the best customer service. I arrived late, but was still greeted warmly and was well taken care of. The place was clean and satisfactory. However the staff was what made my stay great. The woman at the front desk ( who did tell me her name but unfortunately I forgot) made me feel safe and welcome. Also the check out is at noon when most places it is at 11am.

Worst hotel ever. Rooms aren’t clean. Staff is very unprofessional and lack customer service. The GM Alexis is also one of the worst to run a hotel and is it’s very questionable if he is indeed qualified to have such an important position. He WILL reply to all comments but won’t do anything to make this establishment any better. They don’t accommodate you and I’ll also add NO BREAKFAST. They have no hot water, they have fleas and roaches in the rooms due to the lack of house keepers. AND BLACK TOXIC MOLD!!! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody! The smell that all the reviews speak of is completely true. It smells of mildew, smoke and possibly the mold throughout the hotel. The floors are horribly dirty and somewhat damp. The Laquinta Inn across the street is owned and or operated by the same people. So please keep that in mind. BEWARE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND CHOOSE ANTHER ESTABLISHMENT!

This was my first time in Houston,TX and my hotel experience was traumatizing. The further I walk down the hall it smelled of sewage and mildew . The carpet in the hall was so wet ,they had a fan on that was blowing the awful smell around . I was so tired from catching an early flight and issues with my rental . I just wanted to lay down and hope that my room would be better than the hall . When I walked in the room it smelled like mildew ,the carpet was damp/wet . The tv didn’t work. There wasn’t even a telephone in the room for me to call the front desk . I had to go back out in that awful smelling wet carpet hallway to inform the front desk of my issues . Nothing was done . Later on that night after waiting 30 minutes for the hot water to turn on I get ready to go to bed because I was exhausted. I seen a bug on the chair and counter. I asked about leaving but was told that I would be charged for the first night and they didn’t have any rooms available for me to go to . Very unset. Was stuck sleeping in a room with bugs , because I had nowhere else to go .

Stayed here till my house was done and the lady at the front desk was rude! Got the room and just sat down to eat didn’t do a synopsis of the room went to the restroom and I was disappointed and this is what I found! The sheets felt like they were used and wet I checked in at 3pm was gone by 6:30pm the same day. I need the GM’s email because I want a refund.

The Room is set up like an apartment not a hotel, which I like. Everything is provided for you, silverware/dishes/paper towel/quality soap/Microwave, coffeemaker, everything. The two beds have good space, plenty for a family of 4. They have free laundry services and a weight room. The service is good but they need new hotel room key batteries, that's it. I would definitely stay here over somewhere else for the price.

This place has a terrible smell throughout the hallways. Our room had roaches. We killed a few within minutes of being there and saw more throughout our Stay. The hotel offered us bug spray as a remedy. I normally read reviews but I didn't before this one, there are plenty of reviews on this hotel talking about how dirty it is and the smells along with the roaches. They do nothing apparently to mitigate this. Shame on me for not reading the reviews. Hopefully you do not make the same mistake as me

Super nice room lay out. They have a free DVD library, and they also have a free appliance/board game library too. There was a little convenience store in the lobby which is nice, but it's not nice that they charge $2 for a generic brand water bottle. We are already y'all's customers, there is no reason to upcharge us that much for water. Unfortunately, they have roaches! Lots of German, infestation roaches. The duvet cover does not have a zipper or buttons on the bottom, so the duvet just slides right on out on to the floor while you are sleeping. My husband and I kept on waking up because our covers were all wrong. We will definitely never be back!
