Candlewood Suites Oak Harbor, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Oak Harbor - 33221 State Rte 20, USA

Most of my dislikes related to my visit are because of construction. Once the rooms are renovated I think the experience for everyone will be better. In the meantime the staff was fantastic (especially Krystal) and the room itself was a good layout. The water pressure was PERFECT and the heated fan in the bathroom was lovely. Just have realistic expectations if you visit during the construction period and you should have a good visit.

Comfortable suite type rooms. Decent kitchen, fridge, bathroom. Reception Desk nothing special. Portico drive thru at Entry was blocked so walked in the rain with luggage. Lots of parking. Seems like a safe area. Convenient to Whitbey Island Naval Air Station

This is always my "go to" place when traveling to Oak Harbor. The location provides easy access to NAS Whidbey Island, and isn't in the thick of "town". Even with the road close to the building, I never heard any road noise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Having the laundry facility is a major plus for me so I can travel with less clothes. Currently, it is in walking distance to an awesome Japanese restaurant that I highly recommend.

I would recommend this hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. I've stayed here multiple times for work and never had a problem. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, stove top and dishwasher makes it very convenient for someone staying for am extended time.

When I checked in, the front desk person was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely stuck out. I had the same thoughts on check out. Everyone was very accommodating. I stay at IHG hotels all over the country and your staff most definitely sticks out. I don't care much about being greeted as a premier member but it is fantastic so I don't have to make sure every time that my IHG membership points come through.

Really liked the coffee machine options in the lobby. The staff was always friendly. Check-in was painless. Easy to find the location. Quiet, comfortable, clean. I really had no complaints. Would stay again, although usually stay with family.

Great service, comfortable bed with large room. Very accessible location. Wish there was a pool and/or hot tub. Other than that, we had everything we needed. Took advantage of the late checkout time. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the area.

The location of this place is great in relation to the base and town. The hotel needs a revamping and technology in the rooms is 10-15 years outdated. (I had a Zenith DVD Player in my room) New carpet is needed. The coffee in the snack room was the best coffee I had in a long time. I wish they used local beans though. Overall, it was a place to rest my eyes and that's all. Staff was excellent! The hotel chain needs to pump money into this place to make it THE place to stay in town.
