Nice place for an extended stay. Nice clean rooms with full-size refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. The room also had a microwave, sink, pantry, stove, and dishwasher. There is laundry service on site and two gas grills outside next to the covered pergola that were kept clean and ready to use. Convenient location and across the street from a cinema and a few nice restaurants. The grocery store is a 3 minute walk away as is an ABC store. All in all, this is a great spot for an extended stay.

This place is awesome. The absolute cleanest hotel inside and out. The grills are nice along with the pavilion. The pool is really nice, they even have towels outside for you. The entire staff are very friendly and welcoming. You will not be disappointed here. I wish I could give 10+ ⭐

The manager Angel, definitely lives up to her name. Angel and her staff made our stay very pleasant, if we needed anything they accommodated our needs. The hotel always smells so good, it’s extremely clean! The rooms are nice and spacious. I recommended the Candlewood Yorktown/Newport News VA Hotel to friends as well as family! Anyone who’s looking for a great Hotel look no further CANDLEWOOD SUITES is the place to be!!

We didn't have very high expectations - just because the price was so reasonable! - and were delighted to have those expectations exceeded. It was clean, comfortable and felt very safe. Staff was very kind and helpful. Room was fine. We did a one-bedroom suite and our adult son slept on the pull out sofa. He said is was comfortable. We were pleased to be able to have our dog with us for a fee. I am VERY sensitive to smells and had nothing to complain about. No smoke smell, overly strong cleaner smells, or any detectable odor of anything. It isn't new, but didn't seem old or ugly. It was great. We would stay again.

The hotel is very clean, the front desk staff is very nice and cheerful, pretty stocked market, although I wish there were more tea options. The beds are comfortable but there aren't any rooms with king sized bed. No public ice makers either, only the ones in the rooms.

The General Manager Angel is such an amazing and compassionate individual. She truly cares for her guests, and she treats them better than just a guest visiting a property to stay or spend money. She treats everyone like family. This is hard to find. The staff there is also very personable and caring. There is no drama at the location. It is clean at all times and fully stocked in the little market area. The rooms are fully equipped with pots, pans, silverware, etc. There are extra items to cook with that you can sign out from the front area, to include also board games. The free washer and dryers are a plus as well. There is not much you need to go outside for besides work and food if you want something else to eat besides what you cook. I love it here and am glad that God placed me in the area. Angel is so amazing and I look forward to seeing her daily when I Walk in from work or on other days. Will continue to promote the property to bring in more business here and of course for people to know about who is at the head of the location here. Thank you for such great hospitality. I have been here for several months. The hotel is clean, and well kept. The general manager (Angel) is extremely polite, and professional. The housekeeping staff is amazing.

Very clean hotel! This is the hotel to stay at,I have stayed all over in Newport News and this is a gem. I call this a smiling hotel! I never stopped smiling from the time I arrived until I left. Lovely staff and spotless and a great location close to restaurants and grocery.
