Positive: The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and patient. Being able to utilize board games and small appliances during our stay was also a plus. The free laundry room was great! Negative: No pool or breakfast?that made the value for the price less, and I did not pay attention to that at the time of booking, so that?s on me. It just made it difficult for a 5-day stay and increased the amount we spent on food.

Staff was super friendly. Beds were very comfortable (and we're picky). Rooms were clean. We'll be staying at these locations whenever possible.

Me and my husband stayed here for one night as we were passing through. The stay was okay, but when we checked out they told us we would get our $50 refundable deposit as soon as we checked out. It has now been 2 weeks and we still have not received our deposit back. We have called them twice and they were no help. They just keep saying to wait. They told us the funds were released by them on the 28th of May when we checked out on the 23rd. It just makes no sense. Do better.

Poor management may bring this place down. We arrived at 4:30 pm on a Friday in town for a funeral. We had a dinner to attend, so we proceeded to get ready after 7 hours in a vehicle. As I was getting ready, I heard a knock on the door. My spouse was still in the shower, so I cracked the door. She advised that they need to change the soap. I stated we are unavailable. She then rudly said they did not tell you we were doing this today. I said no, and we were not dressed and told her to come back tomorrow and closed the door. About 3 minutes later a loud demanding knock on the door. Woman stating she was management. I cracked the door again as my spouse still not dressed. I asked what is the problem. The soaps are full we just checked in and are not dressed. I told her they were not allowed to enter the room at this time as we were busy. At this point I told them to come back Sunday after check out as we do not need service. She said we are coming in if you leave. I then told her hold on. My wife gets up in her underwear and peaks around door and says we are not dressed. She advised them we will let them know. We are stressed our friend just died and here you are harassing us about soap. Instead of relaxing for a hour we were forced to get dressed. My wife called the front desk once we were dressed. The maid came went into the bathroom and closed the door while changing the soaps. Not all the soaps were changed. The next day as I exited the room I see all the soaps in a trash bin in the electrical room. I was like they needed them to put into a fire hazard room. On our final day the door was open again and a maid and man were in there. The maid was taking the soaps out of the bin and putting them in boxes. So you removed soap to sit them in a room foe two days so your maid can box them up for what. The soaps they removed were all full to begin with. Still have not heard back from anyone. Filed a case with corporate and still no one contacted us. So they came in while we were undressing to get soap that on Sunday 2 days later that housekeeping took out of trash bins and into boxes.

Cannot recommend this specific candlewood if you can avoid it, we stay at a candlewood everytime we travel because of the kitchen and recliner (back injury). This location however we got a dirty room with used tissues, towels and someone's empty pill bottle and wrappers. Room showed clear signs of neglect beyond the stained walls. Bathroom door had been broken and poorly patched, and the icing onto of everything was being given points as "compensation" for having to stay in the room, I'd have preferred them to just thank us for understanding/apologize and do nothing. Points worth less than $5 feels worse than just an "our bad" tbh, we understand stuff happens.

We are long time travelers, currently doing the whole US on a road trip. We've been looking for long for a hotel brand that combines price and quality and after having tested Holiday Inn, Comfort inn, Country inn, Marriott, Home2place, Sleep inn, Best Western plus and Candlewood for the last 5 stays, we thought we finally found our gem with the Candlewood brand, consistently providing high quality and key long term amenities of a 3-4 star hotel for the price of a 2 star hotel. Always with free laundry, great treadmill with TV and BBQ grill patio. That was until we checked in this Candlewood, which I'm sad to say, was a disaster. I'd like to see if their 100% satisfaction guarantee will back my stay this time, will update the review accordingly. We arrived here after a 9h drive and were exhausted. We notice they gave us the noisiest room right next to the elevator but ignoring. Not to know that the night we would be spending would be restless with banged doors all morning, and an extremely noisy upstairs neighbour, running up and down and pounding the floor with heavy footsteps at 6-7am on Sunday morning. When entering our 1 bedroom suite, it was a disaster: -Cleaning was very poor in the whole suite except the bedroom. Kitchen utensils left were grossly burnt plastic, some broken, half were dirty, we had to rewash the cutlery still with stuck food on it in order to eat our food, the dish brush was still showing disgusting food stuffs inside (see pics and videos), several crumbles on the floor under the dining table, stove top ceramic buttons dirty, microwave not cleaned thoroughly inside (see pics). -Bath towel had visible hair on it (see pic). Bathroom showed evident signs of rusting, hole of sink cumulating never ever old dirt (see pics). The only positive was the shower pressure, almost too strong/noisy. At best, the cleaning person should be supervised or trained. At worst, well, be changed, together with the inspector or cleaning supervisor who obviously does only partially his/her job. -Sofa was very old, visibly dirtied with dog hair, dried dog saliva, and sticky red dog food, was hard as a rock too, unlike all other Candlewood we stayed in who had both the armchair and sofa as modern. When my wife sat on the armchair, she got bit by jumping bugs (dog fleas?). I later realized that the sofa I was sitting on also gave me rash and bug bites. That sofa hadn't been cleaned for ages obviously. That room should never be rented out in my opinion. If you're given room #319, make sure you don't accept it! If the management reads my note, Pet friendly rooms should be dedicated to those with pets. And extra asked to the pet owners should be used to do that extra cleaning instead of keeping it to save extra money! We were so tired that we didn't have the courage to report the issue and just laid our heads to rest. When going to complain the following morning (we booked for two nights), I came to explain to the receptionist what a disaster our room was, first time ever happening to us in a Candlewood hotel and that we would need another room. The man at the receptionist expressed nothing on his face, no apology whatsoever, and plainly said "Ok, I have no cleaned room at the moment. You'll have to come back at check in time". So we waited until 3pm, not being able to enjoy our first day room (and I had booked the suite in order to precisely be able to rest and watch TV on the sofa...). Our second room was cleaner (showing some cleaning persons know their job), though bath towel was again showing several hair (recurring problem to be checked by management then) and the sofa still very old, very hard and with old stains, but at least no bugs, which am grateful for, but the need to replace these sofas or add a simple cover is blatant. I wanted to please my wife with a suite this time as opposed to a standard bedroom, and we couldn't enjoy our 300$ stay, which is sad as we needed that so bad as were so looking forward. Weekend ruined. I'm attaching pictures and videos of what I captured upon checking in our first room,

Staff does not respect your privacy, my wife and I traveled here for work and needed a place to stay from May 18th to the end of August. Despite posting a do not disturb sign on our door the staff continue to enter our room. We made a complaint and have a verbal agreement with the General Manager that my wife who is here all day get with the staff and open our door for them to observe we haven’t damaged anything in the room weekly on Thursdays at 9 am. The staff has broken this agreement numerous times. We finally purchased a security camera and have a video of the staff entering our room while my wife was walking around the property. The video shows this staff person going through the drawers, going in the closet and even going in the refrigerator. To me this is a complete violation of our privacy, however after contacting managers of Candlewoods throughout the country and being told this behavior is unacceptable and then calling the corporate complaint # provided IHG condones this behavior. DONT STAY AT IHG HOTELS IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVACY! Once my attorney reviews the videos and my notes my wife and I will be posting the evidence. It’s a shame IHG will allow the behavior of one location affect the livelihoods of the hard working professionals in all the locations across the country. THATS HOW EXPLAINED IT TO THE CORPORATE QUALITY DEPARTMENT P.S. the entire stay was paid for by my employer and I have no financial attachment. Just feel violated!

Review on 7/3–I saw multiple charges on my account for the same stay. I requested for an explanation. The front desk person was nice enough to do some research, but couldn’t see a reason. I was told that the general manager, Shelley, could make a refund. I asked to speak to Shelley the next morning, but was told that I had to walk to the next hotel to speak with her because she was covering both. I couldn’t speak to Shelly upon arrival to the hotel nearby, but I left my name and number. I still haven’t receive a call from her and the multiple charges are still on my account. Update on 7/4 : I was told by Shelley and her bodyguard that I could no longer make another reservation with them because of my review with IHG. I told them that I work in healthcare and we cannot ask our patients not to return because of a review. The bodyguard stated that my line of work is different from theirs.

Great motel! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed linens were so nice, it was difficult to pry myself out of bed the next morning. You can tell the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work. Breakfast was a nice surprise. Fresh eggs,
