Candlewood Suites Lake Charles-Sulphur - Featured Reviews (188)
We spent the last night of our vacation here this year and it was wonderful. I seriously thought this was one of the best places we stayed. Check in was easy and the desk clerk was very nice. I really liked that they had a comprehensive handout that explained how many of the amenities worked, offered suggestions, and was just in general very helpful. I have three Cs of travel: clean, comfortable, and convenient, this place checks all of the boxes. Super clean, comfortable beds, and an easy off from the interstate while still being quiet. 10/10 Donna recommended.
Beds were amazing! And so clean!
Front desk was superb! So accommodating!
Very spacious rooms. Very clean rooms.
THE ONLY THING….very small pool. But if you could care less about the pool then this is your place! Probably stay here again next time I come to sulphur.
The management at this location was terrible!!! I stayed at this motel for over 30 days. The state law is that you get your taxes back every day you stay After the 30 days. Darrel the general manager assured me of this the first week I was there. I never got my money back and there was never a call back. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere... The rooms are rundown and not much for hot water... Oh BTW the cold water side is warm and the hot side is cold. Crap low budget renovation job!!!
The hot water is reversed blue is hot and red is cold. Did not have a good tv system. One worker told me it was due to hurricanes Laura and Delta of 2021. Just shows you what a 3rd world country we now live in. However, the rooms were nice. One guest told me his room had bedbugs,
hug, I did not get any bites in my room but Im still disturbed about all of this. All the workers there were extremely nice.
A little skeptical staying here initially when pulling up - Days Inn next door was sketchy and the Wingate Hotel looked vacant. But the hotel was nice. Quick and easy check in with nice person at the desk. Room was very clean and the suite amenities with the small kitchenette were very good with a decent sized refrigerator/freezer. Just 1.5 years since full renovation post hurricane so had a fresh look. Stayed one night. Only issue I had was the $75 non-refundable pet fee. Stayed at a Candlewood the next night and only $25 per pet - more reasonable.
Really nice and friendly people. Working there hotel was exceptionally clean and very esthetically pleasing. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in the sulfur area
We were just passing through and looking for a decent hotel that wasn't to expensive. The lady at the desk was very helpful. Room was east to access and bed was comfortable. Room was clean and pretty quiet compared to other hotels. Would definitely stay there again
Stayed here prior to going to work offshore the next morning. Bed was very comfortable. 2 soft pillows and 2 firm pillows per bed. Nice spacious bathroom. It was so nice to get out of hot shower to a NOT FOGGED mirror. Nice perfect towels that dry you. It did not smell, and for a hotel used mostly for workers that is awesome. The front desk workers were very nice and helpful. Would gladly stay here again.
Loved the area, Cracker barrel next door. Beautiful Location. Friendly Staff, Natalie was Very Helpful. Stopped in from Vacation in Port Issabel, TEXAS. Was traveling back to Virginia. Stopped in Louisiana, Great American Owned.
Clean quiet hotel, easy on/off interstate. Modern rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast. Hot showers and comfortable beds. I travel for work and stayed here about a month ago. I chose to stay here again because it is hard to find a clean reliabl
This place is very cool. Multiple fields to battle on with selection on jelly or paint balls. They are available for bday parties which makes this place even more fun
Best brisket, stuffed tator, and banana pudding west of the Georgia/Alabama line! Seriouslyâ¦Iâve traveled all over the USA and had bbq in lots of places. This is one of the very best. Great service too! A little sad they donât have a place to e
Good seasoning and plenty of big ones. Great customer service. Messaged them before we went to ask if their seasonings are gluten free, and they were great about checking it for us! It's good to have another place to eat for celiacs.
WORTH THE DRIVE!!!! We've been wanting to try the burgers at Dairy Barn and finally got the chance. There was a line when we walked in and I completely understand why. Ashley greeted us and took our order and Amy took care of us at the register. I d
Surprisingly good food. Stopped here while traveling and so glad we did. We shared a fried fish and shrimp combo. Crispy hot and delicious. Plenty for two.
