Candlewood Suites Jefferson City, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Jefferson City - 3514 Amazonas Dr, USA

This was a business trip for my husband and I tagged along to rest and reset from my job. |I can say that this was a wonderful stay. The one bedroom suite was awesome. Since I was going to be here all day by myself, I didn’t want to be stuffed into one room. There is a separate bedroom with ample space and a nice shelf that accommodated both our suitcases. Also a nice size closet. The open living room and kitchen was perfect. There were dishes, pots and pans as well as plenty of silverware. Having a full size refrigerator and a 2 burner stove was very nice. There was also a tea kettle, a toaster, microwave and coffee maker. The open spaces were separated by a large island that was great for eating as my husband came back for lunch. The living room had a couch, recliner, a built in shelf with extra drawer space and a coffee table with shelves. There was also a desk chair so you could use the island as a desk. Plenty of room on it for a table and a desk. I brought 2 blankets from home to cover the couch and chair. There was nothing wrong with them and they appeared clean and well cared for. Just a quirk of mine. There was another closet in this room which was very nice. The bathroom was nice with a shelf for toiletries. I loved that. |The front desk ladies were always sweet and helpful. That’s always a plus. I had one interaction with housekeeping and she was a doll. I didn’t know how to take the lock of the stove. lol she walked away from what she was doing to help me. We laughed as she said it was a trick. 😂 It was but I liked the safety feature. |I very much enjoyed my stay here. My husband said that some guys at his conference had rooms at Doubletree. They were not impressed with it so we picked very well. 😁 Candlewood for the win.

Wonderful in every respect. Tine & Stephany exemplified customer service. Friendly, efficient, warmly welcoming & helpful from the first phone call. Room was spotless, bathroom sparkling, bed super comfortable with lovely linens. Will definitely be my 1st choice in Jeff City !!!

This Candlewood Suites hotel is in a quiet location, and there is easy access to US Hwy 50. The hotel is an older property that is starting to show its age, but overall, the property and room were clean. This hotel accepts pets, and there are grassy areas along the side and back of the hotel where you can walk your dog. Our experience with reception was outstanding. Stephanie made us feel welcomed and valued for being members of the IHG rewards program. I understand this is promoted as an all-suite hotel with a mini-kitchen in each room, but most hotels in this price range offer some type of free breakfast. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is in the same location and is similarly priced and does offer a free breakfast. Adding a quick grab-and-go breakfast to this Candlewood hotel would make it a better value. Overall, it is a good option when in Jeff City for a quiet night.

Positive: Kitchen Negative: Attitude, lack of security or regard for guest safety, dishwasher was full of dishes, fire lane curb misprinted, staff leaving laundry in the washer. Management needs trained on training staff.

The room was large and comfortable. The location was great. When the hotel slid the receipt under the door at 2am, I about jumped out of bed! It sounded like someone crawling across the floor. I couldn’t figure out how to work the stove top or the AC unit but otherwise the room was spacious and clean.

I've stayed there 2 times now. 1 week each time. I've been upgraded to the larger room with separate bedroom both times. Overall the place is okay. You can tell the rooms are older with a nice face lift. Room 101 had a dusty smell and the thermostat didn't turn off the AC. Room 202 had a noisy fan in the bedroom that kept me up. The ice maker was frozen over. The door lock was also hard to open. I had to put a shoulder into the door, after swiping my card, every time. Maintenance in general could use some work but the price is competitive. I'd go back.

Rooms had some mold and missing thermostat moved to another room. Service was nice at front desk. Location was good. The rooms are good sized with working appliances except for thermostat.

Tried calling this location close to 15 times between 9:30-10:30 pm on 08/15. No one answered. Don’t even waste your time trying to get in touch with them. Had to call the corporate number to get anything fixed.
