Was a Very clean big room. very nice place has free laundry. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. There is a shopping center across street to shop or eat at. Coffee pots and kitchen are great addition. I would recommend this hotel anytime
I stayed here one night after a Caribbean cruise (March 21-22, 2024). It was a quick ride from the port using Uber. Then I was able to store my luggage at the hotel in a locked room while I went out to breakfast at Lester’s Diner (15 minute walk to east) and later explored the shopping area across the street. I was able to check in to my room at 1 pm which was great! The room was fine in every respect. I also was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice laundry room that was free of charge for guests. I was able to wash some clothes before heading home on Amtrak the next morning.
I stayed here since it was close to the airport and I had to take an early morning flight. My overall experience was horrible, starting from the very rude customer service rep to the dark smelly rooms, I wish I had paid more and booked some other hotel. The bed had some pet smell, and I had itchiness on my whole body just after one night. Also, not even drinking water, had to buy a bottle worth $3.
Pros were the location (not secluded), the shuttle on time in the morning, and a couple of restaurants nearby the hotel. but trust me, even for a night it's not worth it.
Not even worth a 1 star review. This is a joke of an establishment with horrible customer service. We checked into a room and left within 5 mins to go get dinner. When we arrived back we realized the a/c had yet to cool down the room. Called the front desk only to be told the hotel was booked up and he didn't know when the maintenance guy could get there. Randomly 5 mins later "maintenance" and I use that term loosely, shows up. All he did was press the same buttons on the unit, shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn't know what's wrong. Needless to say we left and found another hotel, but the man at the front desk tried telling us we "checked in" so we were responsible for payment. We disputed everything with our credit card company and when they hotel sent a letter to AMEX they lied saying we checked in and stayed the entire time, using all hotel services. I called the hotel and management back tracks and says oh well we'll discount your room 50%. Seriously? Our bags sat in your hotel for 2 hours while we had dinner and you want to lie about it and then try to charge us? And on top of that your hotel employee did NOTHING to help. We went next door to your sister hotel and the gentleman there went above and beyond to get us a room. Amazing how IHG treats it's customers who travel and use your hotels frequently.
Never Again. No Customer Service and no common courtesy.||My party of 16 stayed at Candlewood, Fort Lauderdale the night before our cruise. A piece of my luggage was left in a closet. Even though the hotel had email and phone numbers for me, my roommate, and the travel agent, no messages were left to let me know. I spent a miserable week not knowing, and RCL spent the week having Room Steward's check rooms and under beds for my bag as well as other measures. 5 days later I called the hotel and was told it was there. The hotel was not accommodating at all. I asked for the shuttle that brought us to the hotel to meet me at the airport since i had a 10am flight. The manager would not speak to me to say no. Common courtesy and good customer service could have prevented so much misery not knowing where my luggage was. 8 days in the same shoes AND not knowing is the worst. That's my last stay at a Candlewood Suites.
I stayed one night before my cruise, had good location near the cruise port. The hotel had restaurants close by with good food. The bed was comfortable, clean. Price was good and office staff was helpful, pleasant and the staff place our family on the same floor.
Positive: Perfect location Negative: The elevator wasn?t working. We were on the 4th floor. The next day. We were moved to the 2nd floor. The carpet was soak with dog pee then were moved back to the 4th floor. We spent most of our time at the mall because my wife just had knee replacement

a place that feels like home away from home. Fully furnished apartments near the intercoastal, only a 5-minute stroll from the beach and other popular Fort Lauderdale attractions. An intimate gathering in the center of Fort Lauderdale.
We just found the most perfect place to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area, Manhattan Towers Apartment Hotel. A hidden gem, a Shangri-La. The perfect location on the intercoastal and a couple of blocks from Fort Lauderdale beach. A beautiful well-maint
