Candlewood Suites Cleveland South - Independence, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Independence - 6125 Rockside Pl, USA

It's a decent stay for a very reasonable price. That unfortunately invites riff raff to disrupt your stay. Unruly children prevent you from enjoying the pool as irresponsible parents encourage them splashing everyone with their horseplay. There was a dog that was barking all night long. I could barely get good sleep. Had to call front desk multiple times. When I did get someone on the phone, it was the holiday inn (their sister hotel). This magnifies another problem, which is that there is NEVER anyone at the front desk after a certain hour. It was actually insane. The ice machine in the fridge also flooded the refrigerator. So that was fun. It's still a decent headquarters to navigate cleveland when you're in town. You get what you pay for though. The bed is very comfortable at least. So I at least enjoyed my midday naps since I couldn't sleep at night

Location is mediocre. Staff isn't very knowledgeable and diamond elite status means nothing in this Location didn't even get a bottle of water. Over charged my credit card which maxed out my business card and had to use personal money to shop because I couldn't use my Per diem

Everything I could ask for in a Candlewood, and more! The attached Holiday Inn is convenient. The area has a lot of cool stuff around to check out. The free laundry is always my main reason to come to a Candlewood and their machines were up and running. Unfortunately they have a full service restaurant instead of the regular breakfast but it's helpful that it's there as a normal Candlewood would have neither.

The staff was very informative and helpful. I loved the room. The hotel was clean and inviting.

Stayed at the Candlewood Suites from November 23 thru February 24 every other 2 weeks and it was great! The staff was always very helpful! Especially Joseph he was always very professional and attentive to the guests needs! There was another girl who worked on the day shift I think her name was Melissa that was also very good! I hope you all survive the moose convention lol. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone's stay!

Very strange experience overall. The entrance is in the back of the building with an alley. Walking in, there were |several men sitting/standing outside the door who looking us up and down. Once inside, there was no one there to check us in. After a few minutes two girls appeared, one with a shirt showing off her stomach. The girl checking us in told us there would be breakfast in the morning (there was not) and once completing the check in came out behind the desk to one of the men loitering. It appeared they were together. ||The room was spacious - I would not describe it as clean but it wasn’t partially dirty. The door of our room had pretty large gap between the door and door frame, which made me feel very uneasy. ||Each time we walked through the lobby there were men constantly loitering and staring us down. It was incredibly strange. As a women, I was not comfortable being by myself. It was like this at night and in the morning. ||Overall, I would not recommend this hotel given the gaps in the doors, lack of professionalism by the desk clerk and random men standing around.

Positives: Location convenient to restaurants and downtown Cleveland. Hotel was clean and check-in was quick. The bathroom and kitchenette appear to have been recently renovated. Hotel offers access to a nice size pool and bar in the adjoining Holiday Inn. Negatives: Hotel is oddly situated behind the Holiday Inn and entrance is not very welcoming. The air freshener is overwhelming and hits you as soon as you enter. The room had only 1 chair at the desk, anyone else would need to eat in bed. Some of the dishes in the kitchenette were dirty and only 1 fork was provided. The coffee pot water reservoir was filthy. Attempted to swap out dirty towels in the morning, housekeeping said there were none clean. Checked back with front desk later in the day and only 1 set of towels was available. Hotel walls and doors do not seem to have any sound reduction. Conversations and activities were not always private. Check out is 11 am, housekeeping was at the door knocking at 10 am. While loading our luggage on the cart in the hallway, housekeeping yelled from the far end asking what room we were leaving. No complimentary coffee or breakfast. For the price and the brand, it should have been better.

My experience with The Candlewood Suites in Independence, OH was wonderful. Great location, restaurants both within the adjoining hotel and across the street made dining easy. Our room also had a well-equipped kitchen allowing us to cook some of the time as well. Our room was very clean and modern inside making our stay comfortable and cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We really enjoyed our time at The Candlewood Suites and would highly recommend it.
