The Candlewood Suites in Bloomington Normal has been an absolute delight to stay at. The rooms are incredibly spacious and come equipped with all the facilities I could ever need, making it the perfect home away from home. And the fact that a Walmart is conveniently located nearby is just the cherry on top. As someone visiting the area for business, this hotel has been an absolute best - it provides a comfortable and well-appointed space to rest and recharge after a long day. I highly recommend the Candlewood Suites to anyone looking for the best hotel experience in the Bloomington Normal area.

Reservation check in for company travel was fast & professionally polite. My room was comfortable & tidy with ample nearby food & convenience options. I would prefer an option to be on the top floor as a 3rd shift day sleeping business guest with a high floor request to lessen the frequency of being awakened by housekeeping doing their A+ job on the room above me. I appreciate the thorough cleaning job but sometimes struggle to sleep through underneath it. Otherwise, I had a completely enjoyable business stay.

Expensive for one night. Apparently most people are extended stay guests which I did not know. You could smell food, the walls were thin and could hear noise. No hand soap in the bathroom and no breakfast.

As an Ihg group hotel, rooms were good for individual or family. Utensils were less compared to other ihg hotels. Major drawback is they don’t serve breakfast. I would mostly prefer if they serve breakfast or packed breakfast at least.

The hotel is older, but management keeps the place in good order and clean. I've stayed here multiple times for work and the rooms are always clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You guys are doing a good job, keep it up. I don't pay complements freely, you have earned my praise. Thank-you.

I was traveling for business and needed a clean bed and a warm shower. I had no issues with any services provided at the Candlewood Suites. Communication was clear and complete, I wish I got a chance to try the breakfast but I was too busy with work. The location is great and close to anything you might need while traveling.

Staff did not seem too interested in assisting guests with their needs. Hotel had only one luggage rack and it couldn't be found at check-in. My husband was given a laundry cart to haul luggage at check-in. When we were checking out the cart again could not be found and staff didn't seem too interested in assisting us to find it. Stayed more than two weeks at this location and had to go to Walmart to purchase toilet paper as the desk never had any to give out said to ask the housekeepers if we seen one. Housekeeping staff did not speak English; therefore, communicating with them, if seen, was difficult. Was able to extend our stay on a whim which proved necessary for our needs at the time. I stay in IHG hotels on average two weeks a month. This is the first Candlewood I've stayed at that didn't have sterilized dishes in the dishwasher upon checkin- that was shocking to me. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was acceptable.

Hotel was clean and smelled good. Our room stayed nice and cooled the entire stay. Only real complaint is there were no linens in the room for the pull out couch. I had originally booked a room with double beds for our 4 guests and 1 wasn't available when I checked in. A suite was available when I was booking and I purposely didn't choose it bc I knew the pull out bed would be so uncomfortable for the 2 guests who were with me. They put us in the suite anyways. There was also only 3 towels for 4 people. I wasn't thrilled about anyone having to share a towel.
