Candiles Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Mulvane - 108 W Main St, USA

We had dinner here for the first time, and the place was well kept and the food was good for the most part. Their menu looks great and they have similar options as any other good Mexican restaurant. Their combo menu choices are better than what we have seen in other places. My wife ordered a #10 combo of Chicken Enchilada and Chile Relleno. She was impressed that they used the correct pepper for the Chile Relleno. She was less satisfied about her chicken enchilada which tasted a bit strangely seasoned. I took a bite of it and felt the same way. I ordered the #4 combo of two beef enchiladas. Glad I didn't order a chicken enchilada, as my beef enchiladas were great. The ground beef was properly seasoned and everything tasted fresh. The chips and salsa were good too (which is how we eval Mexican restaurants that are new to us). Our server was Jamie and she was excellent. She has a great attitude and will make sure that you are taken care of. Small disappointment was that they are getting their liquor license renewed and was unable to serve anything alcoholic. Don't know what happened there but will want to come back to try their frozen margaritas. I have only found one place in Wichita that we really like their margaritas. So I am curious about theirs. We will be back to eat and drink here again. Strong 4.75 star review

Their homemade tortilla chips are, for me, worth driving to Mulvane from Wichita, just to eat Mexican food. Salsa was delicious, too. I had a taco salad & my friend ordered fajitas -- both from their lunch menu. I was too full but refused to leave a morsel. I loved that it wasn't soggy in any way, which I've been served elsewhere. 😁 The fajitas could serve 2-3 people if you ordered additional soft tortillas. We each enjoyed a large margarita. The strawberry had the best fruit flavor I've ever had -- anywhere. Although I ordered it frozen & it was really frozen, that was ok with me anyway.

Candles in Mulvane is a laid back, comfortable restaurant. We had 6 adults and 6 kids (2-12) and everyone enjoyed themselves and their food.

Tried the Augusta location few weeks ago. Tried the Mulvane location this evening. Service was great, restaurant was clean, food was excellent! Highly recommend.

I dont even know where to begin about my experience today! Chips & salsa were homemade and flavorful. Portion size for a call in order had me mind blown!! Most places(in my opinion)seem to serve less when you place a to go order, however they did not!! The food was ready in 10 minutes, it was hot, authentic, tasted amazing, staff was super friendly when i got there, and the quality was on point!! Will most definitely be visiting again soon!! Hands down best Mexican food I've had in quite some time!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Such a great little hidden gem!! We go out of our way to go there about once a week now that we found it!! Good margaritas, excellent chicken enchiladas suizas.
