Always loved coming here. Still very peaceful and relaxing. Generally clean. As a teenager in the 80s, we would come every weekend in summer and cook out across the bridge, sadly that area is no longer accessible. Looks like the parks department finally trimmed the weeds along the canal. Thanks for that.
I really enjoy riding bike in this trail, it is very well maintained, the people you come across are friendly and keep their distance. Everyone follows road rules so its very easy to navigate, even when there's others walking. Theres parking , benches along the way, and of coarse the water. If you are looking to decompress after work, or get out of the house to get some air this is a nice place to do it .
This is a bare bones trail next to a loud train yard. It’s wet and could use some more stones. There’s a lot of trash along the side of the trail including lots of beer and liquor bottles. The parking area seems deserted and even though there are signs saying that video surveillance is occurring I really doubt that’s the case. It’s did visit mid-winter so it might be more lively in the summer. I felt like I was somewhere I shouldn’t have been. The trains are really loud when they start or stop… Boom, boom, boom as the slack takes up. They also squeal loudly.
That being said with the river on the one side and the rail yard on the other there’s lots to look at as you are walking the path.
Great access to the Lehigh River, D&L Trail, and Lehigh Canal. Public restrooms sometimes available. There's a pavilion that can be reserved with Allentown City Parks. The park is in need of some love and care: there's a perpetual litter problem, ear splitting music, jet skiers who routinely violate basic boating laws and safety, and occasional car break-ins have been reported. The park is regularly policed by the City of Allentown.
I was not impressed, the parking lot is clean and the trail. Bunch of people with loud music and cars in the parking lot ruined it, they were also racing in the parking lot.
We were here early because of heat it was quiet and peaceful. Excellent tow path walk.
Cool place to give shot
Beautiful and so peaceful. Best place in all of the Lehigh Valley in my opinion. The river is so amazing, straight out of a book like. And the wild life is flurising and blooming more and more every year. So happy everybody is keeping this place beautiful, please let keep it this way my good people :)
OMG! We attended the Water Lantern Festival at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown, Pa. The park is huge with picnic areas as well as play equipment for the kids.
There is also a beach volley ball area
and plenty of parking too. The Lantern Festival itself
The playground was well designed for children of multiple ages. The one and a half year old toddler I was with had no problem climbing up and doing a good portion of the activities. The main drawback of this playground is that it can be in the direct
Very nice park with a special water park for kids of all ages to play & get wet. Lots of places for the parents to sit and relax in the shade while watching there little ones play. Park seemed very clean and the water sprays went off intermittently
The most absolute amazing store. Variety of hookahs , flavours, drinks. Customer service was top notch. Drake took care of me from the moment I walked in asking for my blueberry-mint flavour to the moment I walked out with a smile on his face. Iâm
Wow, this place is awesome! Late night restaurant serving until 2am. The Chicken gyro was unreal. Get the white sauce and hot sauce on it. And the fries... goodness, why are they so good?? This was my first visit, but this might be my new Allentown
Absolutely fantastic food. Everything is incredibly fresh. Food was incredible. The owner came out and spoke to us as well. She was more than happy to provide recommendations. They have plenty of options for people who are gluten free and vegan as we
It is a beautiful theater! The production was excellent, the actors were very professional! The only down sides were that the fake British accents were not always good and extremely exaggerated making it almost impossible to discern what they were sa
Gorgeous Coca-Cola park! Beautiful venue for bacon lovers, too. Very clean, family-friendly environment and definitely a check off my bucket list. Food vendors also outstanding. Great night for baseball. Go Pigs!
A great, small bagel shop with breakfast and lunch options as well as their special Greek bagels. Their meat lover's omelette and blueberry bagels were great, and their home fries were good as well. They do have some tables to sit and eat at but this
Great local coffee shop! Their baked goods are delicious and the coffee is excellent. My personal favorite iced beverage is their fall special with house made pumpkin sauce. For a hot beverage, you can never go wrong with a latte. We are never disapp
Mark (the owner) and the staff are absolutely amazing! Had my sonâs birthday party at Back to the Arcade for the 2nd year in a row and couldnât be more happy with the experience! Everyone is always extremely helpful. By far one of the best experi
We had our vow renewal and reception at the Vault in September, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We live in the Midwest but wanted to be in Allentown for our families. At first it felt scary to plan something big from afar,
Dorney Park's Steel Force roller coaster is an absolute standout. This coaster is undoubtedly the best in the park, offering an unbeatable adrenaline rush. I couldn't get enough of it and ended up riding it five times during my visit. The speed, twis
