Very cool to see this preserved site and everything the museum has on display. Worth a stop if you are in the area enjoying all it has to offer. It is a small museum that won't eat up too much of your day, and free of charge, so there's not really any reason not to check it out. Those who are WWII buffs or Band of Brothers fans will find it to be an especially interesting stop.
Did the 3 miles up, three miles down. My favorite and last ruck march of 16 years in the service. I didn't know the history until afterward. Will definitely visit again.
I love military history and served with soldiers from the units that trained here. The camp itself is easy to access, the road up to the peak of the mountain is gravel and washed out in a few places. Its passable with a SUV or small pickup. Don't recommend going up there in a car low to the ground.
George met me and a friend at the camp, and gave us a tour, explaining everything about the camp and the band of brothers. And we saw inside the barracks, and then we drove up mount Curahee. It was a very moving experience. God bless George. He is dedicated to the camp and honoring the memory of the greatest men America has ever produced! And, likely ever will! We also went into Taccoa and saw the museum. It was a great day.
An easy access location. No truck, no problem. $2 per person with a $6 total cap per group. Great place to hang out for a few hours with a picnic lunch. Make sure to read the history of what happened there in the 70s.
Very friendly museum, great place to go, hike or run military units train here still time to time Parking is free and available. Hiking/run trail is moderate-hard and about 3 miles up and 3 miles down Bring your own food. they only have coffee and water! Donations are greatly appreciated
This is a great place to go if you like history, were/are in the military, and like to hike/run. The boys from Easy Co. must have been fit from going up that trail. The Museum is great as well. They have original wood from the actual buildings to recreate the barracks that were salvaged when the fort shut down. Hopefully I will go back again.
Great facility. We stayed in the barracks as a scout troop and hiked to the top of the mountain. Really enjoyed it.

Very special to see this 200-year-old inn on the SC-GA state line, with so many of the original, preserved furnishings that belonged to the family who owned it. It's like stepping back in time. Very fascinating to learn about how people lived and tav
What a great day! We stopped by for one drink and wound up staying for hours. We decided to go with the taste of 6 wines and everyone one was delicious. Took a few bottles to go. They had a great musician playing. The day was even better by the cool
