Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga - Campground in Alanson - 11000 Camp Petosega Rd, USA

We drove three hours to visit this campsite for the first time and we're not disappointed! Our site was HUGE (big enough for two families- though keep in mind you're only allowed two tents so just bring big ones). We were right next to a gazebo that had a cute little free library and maybe a 3 minute walk to the playground and beach area. The restrooms were very nicely maintained as was the beach. When the waves get too high there is a little secret stream you can explore on your kayake. We will definitely be back!

Great campground! Clean, quiet, spacious sites. Bathrooms are well maintained. Nicer than some other campgrounds we’ve visited. Playground available by the water/beach area.

Stayed here multiple times and seem to enjoy it more each time. Great facilities, lots of playgrounds and things for kids. We love the inland waterway for our boat. Wish they had a dock for night parking but they do have a nice dock for drop off and fishing. Camping spots are nicely laid out and better than most places.

Very nice camp ground. Newest bath house is very nice for a campground. Place is well kept. Offers many different types of sites from rustic tent sites to cabins in the lake. Prices are very reasonable. Most camping sites have water and 50 amp electrical service. Disc golf course is challenging. Many activities for kids if all ages.

Camp Petosega definitely delivered a true family camping experience. The campground was clean and very well maintained. Plenty of area to ride bikes, hike, and play. There were 3 very nice play areas for the kiddos. The showers were in great condition and always hot. There are many drinking fountains around the park which the kids loved on the hot days along with doggie bag stations. The sites offered a lot of flexibility for the style of camping you would like to do and the tent sites had nice flat pads to make sure your tents are on even ground. Over all my family and I beliebe this is a 10 out of 10 campground and will definitely be going back. It's close enough to civility and far enough inland to enjoy mother nature.

Camped for two nights. This is a wonderful County Park, some sites/loops have benn updated with larger spaced camp sites. There are nice trails to walk/jog. And it's close the city.

This place was wonderful. Only downside was that the cabin was full of mosquitoes and was really hot when we arrived. The location is great, the land is beautiful, and Michelle (I think her name is,) was VERY helpful, courteous and mindful of our time there. Can't wait to return! Playground is wonderful and there are many trails that we didn't have a chance to explore but look forward to seeing next time.

Getting there: the roads are a bit rough and lots of hills/curves to get there but it's worth it. All paved and once in the park, it's smooth driving. Checking In: painless and very helpful service. This place is pretty big and the front desk help was great with the map and directions. Very friendly staff. The Site: spacious and comfortable!! Either paved, gravel or hard packed dirt, depending on site. Most are relatively easy to either pull thru or back in. Our site was mostly open with some shade but some are fully wooded with 100% shade (and considerably cooler). All are well maintained and seemed to be trash free. The Campground: this is good for "quiet camping" but ideal for families or groups looking to stay near one another. VERY family friendly with lots to do for the kids, CLEAN and modern bath facilities, and just a real "camping is fun" kind of vibe. Yeah, some kids get loud a bit and driving through you'll need to watch for little ones on bikes or whatever. It's camping, not military school. Let them have some fun! Most are respectful and jump off the road when they see you coming. Great place for a family weekend or reunion! We will definitely be back if we're in the area.
