Camden Riverhouse Hotel and Inns - Hotel in Camden - 11 Tannery Ln, USA

Spent a lovely two nights here while exploring midcoast Maine in November. The inn is fantastic and Janis and Peter are absolutely lovely hosts. We stayed in the Common Ground room/suite. The rest of the inn is wonderful but we enjoyed our suite so much we spent a few hours just chilling there after our excursions to the Rockland museums and Camden Hills State Park. The two-course gourmet breakfasts in the morning were phenomenal. They also had lots of very useful info to help us figure out what to do and where else to eat in the area. Can’t recommend it highly enough, and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back.

Good sized rooms, but definitely dated. The walls are thin and whoever was above us woke us up getting their steps in from 6-7am. The grounds are lovely and the staff is very nice. Well stocked breakfast area and a cute s’mores station. The location in Camden is great. Super dog friendly!! Nice place to stay for a night or two.

Hotel was walking distance to everything. Upon checking in, we received vouchers for ice cream just over an adorable small walking bridge on the other side of the parking lot to a little ice cream shop. Ice cream was delicious. The best part was the atmosphere out back: fire pit, corn hole, comfortable chairs, tables, a deck with table chairs, a really homey feel. They have a smores bar with the most incredible assortment of marshmallows and chocolate. The people who work there are lovely and friendly (guy at the breakfast bar was a little stern but very helpful). I will never stay anywhere else but the Camden Riverhouse on future trips to Camden. We had our whole family there - my husband and four kids, my brother and his family, my parents - and we all loved it. Great find.

Overall a great weekend stay during the off season! Staff here are very nice and welcoming. The location is great: walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. Also walking distance to the Mt. Battie trail which we hiked one morning. The hotel is clean and updated. The s’mores bar and fire pit is a real nice touch. Great selection at breakfast. Coffee available all time with a variety of K-cups and creamers. We hope to return same time next year!

The hotel is clean and centrally located. All staff were exceptionally friendly. The rooms are clean, a great size and the beds comfortable. They are dated and a bit tired, though. The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything my neighbor was doing in their room, including their alarm at 5 am the first morning I was there. I was in room 108 and would not recommend rooms 106, 107, or 108 if you are a light sleeper. They are on the ground floor and face the ramp to the entrance and people love to stand on the ramp and talk and you can hear EVERYTHING. I stopped in Walgreens on my second day and bought ear plugs which helped. Lol Breakfast was fine, waffle station, yogurts, sausages pasties. They had decent gluten free options which was nice. Also, the fire pit and s’mores were a treat and they have a 24-hour sled-service coffee station in the lobby.

Great friendly hotel lovely room and good breakfast. Especially enjoyed the evenings by the wood fire to meet other guests. The staff was always attentive and ready to assist with answers to any questions about Camden or the area. The room was very spacious and very quiet. I enjoyed a good sleep each night. The hotel is one block from the main road with many shops an restaurants nearby.

I stayed one night at the Riverhouse and it was a great experience. When I arrived I received a room upgrade and then I went to the pool. The pool was warm and clean (no harsh chlorine smell). Plus I had the pool to myself! There was no noise from the street or other guests.

Great hotel! We had a pleasant stay. Room was clean, beds comfy, lots of blankets. Lots of options at morning breakfast and the attendant was pleasant and cheerful. So many details and thought throughout the hotel. S'mores supplies for the fire pit (lit every night), books and board games in the lounge, coffee and tea are plentiful. The pool was stocked with floaties, noodles, and towels. While it was not heated to the extreme, it was tolerable and the pool room was very warm. Parking lot was small, but location excellent. Just a walk across the bridge to downtown shops and restaurants. Dogs allowed on the first floor rooms only. We will return!
