There is nothing about the stay that I could say was negative, and if I did, it would be only to nitpick.||It’s centrally located, but tucked away so you don’t see too many people walking down the side street. It felt quaint. ||We walked in to a clean and good smelling lobby. We were greeted by a friendly host who was as easy to talk to as a long-lost cousin. We were discussing the weather (Hi Tropical Storm Debbie) and she offered us to use her own personal umbrella to walk to dinner. ||We interacted with a few other staff members who were also as friendly. ||Our room was a queen with a balcony. Sadly, because of the rain we couldn’t use the balcony. Neither my husband nor I sleep well in hotels, but that was not the case here. I found the bed to be firm with a softer top and the pillows comfortable. The room is typical sized with modern decor. The floors are laminate and not carpet (yay). The bathroom is a nice size and clean, really clean.||The weather put a damper on our plans for the evening, so we’ll be back and we’ll definitely stay at Cambria

Very clean and esthetically pleasing. They have valet parking for a nightly fee, but there's a parking garage diagonally across the street that was much cheaper. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable beds, and spacious. The staff was very nice, especially one of the bartenders who was just the sweetest lady ever. I hate I didn't get her name. The hotel sits within the historic district, but more away from the hustle and bustle. Still walkable to anything in the district that you may want to see. I'd definitely stay again.

I misplaced a gold ring during my stay. Staff were notified when I checked out. Called a few days later and was told it was found. Credit card provided for shipment but it was never received as promised. Numerous messages were left to find out the status but I was told that the general manager with whom I spoke with was on leave. The front desk staff would tell me they would send a message to Frank, the other general manager but the messages were all ignored. Subsequently, the headquarters was contacted and they provided me with email address to the location since the facility is independently owned. I’ve been getting the run around since. Now, they’re telling me the item was mailed. Keep in mind, they cannot give me an exact date when the item was mailed or provide a tracking number, my credit card was never charged for a payment to ship the item. All I was told on August 27, five weeks after my stay, is that it was shipped last week. I’m still waiting to receive the item.

Location of the hotel was perfect. Room was very spacious and clean. Had a little trouble at first with all the lights and switches and couldn't figure out what was what, but it's not a huge problem to have. The only reason why I gave service 3 stars was because 1) they gave us some false information on parking prices (not sure if it was intentionally or not). They said that the parking garage across the street charged over $20 for each time you leave the spot vs. their valet which is $40something a night. Turns out the parking garage was only $5 each time you left, so we saved over $30 by checking it out for ourselves instead of taking their word for it. And 2) upon checking out there was no one at the front desk to assist us. There was a gentleman sitting in a chair in the employee area to the right with the door open and he "checked us out" without even getting off his chair. It just seemed very unprofessional. However, overall the hotel was great and we'd definitely come back.

This was our first time at this particular location and we were expecting a certain level of quality from a Cambria Hotel, we were a little disappointed. The room appeared to be nice and clean. We were very tired from traveling so it was not a top concern since everything else appeared to be in order. The rooms are beautiful and include Keurig and real glasses which is always a nice touch. We were at the hotel for 2 nights, the first night we were in a room with a refrigerator (an amenity we need) that didn't work and it had no blackout shade on the window. We didn't notice these things until we needed use of them. The street lights were so bright in the room that it was very difficult to sleep, the night was restless and sleepless. The following morning the elevator was out of order so we took the stairs to the restaurant to order breakfast for the three of us. There were only three other tables occupied in the restaurant however almost an hour later we still had no food so we canceled the order. Upon speaking with the front desk regarding the problems in the room they moved us to another room that had a blackout shade and a working refrigerator, with no luggage cart access due to the elevator being out of commission it took a while to move everything. By this time it was almost noon on day 2 of our stay and the morning was gone. We headed out to try to make the most of what was left of the day running on no food and no sleep. When we returned to the hotel in the early evening the elevator was working again. Our second night was much better with blackout shades and quiet with less street noise. We slept very well. The staff at the hotel were all very polite, helpful and responsive to our issues/ questions. The beds were very comfortable. We only had to wait 15 minutes for our car even with a lobby full of people who were checking out. Even with our room problems being addressed I don't think we will be staying at this hotel in the future. It is a shame because there are many positives. I know unfortunate things happen but for the total cost of our stay that place should be in tip-top operating order. A note on parking, if you are not planning to drive anywhere the self parking at $20 might be a better use of money. Valet is $45 plus tips so we were in for $120 and we didn't need our car until we left. If we had it to do over we would have spent $40 and self parked. It is $20 each time leave the lot so if you will be driving often valet parking is the better way to go.

Situated about 10/15 minute walk from downtown Savannah, we were happy with the hotel. Our room was huge, extremely clean and very comfortable. We used Liberty Street car park to park our car which is very close to the hotel. The Savannah Trolley Tour excursions start from the nearby visitor centre, just a short walk away too, which was very convenient. The hotel bar was open in the evenings there were also some food options. Overall, a good standard of accommodation and comfort. I think the staff on Reception and in the foyer could be a bit more friendly and welcoming. A smile costs nothing. They answered my questions and explained what we needed but everything seemed like a bit too much effort for them, especially on our arrival. Shame really, because the hotel is lovely.

We tried to check in around 4:30pm but were told there were no rooms available and we had to wait 10 minutes to be able to be checked in. The front desk employee didn’t seem to be knowledgeable at all for our questions about parking, electrical car charging stations or prices for parking. The elevator was out most of the time during our stay, and our room was on the fifth floor. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors laughing throughout the night while we were trying to sleep. The bedroom pillows were much too small, and made for an uncomfortable night. The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been but we stayed for only one night so it sufficed. Overall though, I wouldn’t stay here again.

I’m sharing my experience because I want other individuals to know how dishonest the staff is at this hotel. I misplaced a gold school ring during my two day stay. Front desk staff was notified while I was checking out. A week later I contacted them to find out the status. I was told the ring was found and they needed my credit card information and address to ship the item. Both were provided as I was told my card would be charged and tracking information would be provided. I never heard back from them even though I called about 10 times. Two weeks ago I was told the general manger is not available and the person who took the info is on leave. Now last week I’m told the item was shipped the week prior. It’s been two weeks since and I still haven’t gotten the item. No shipment info can be provided. I checked out since July 22nd and we’re now in the month of September. The front desk staff is sooo unprofessional. They answer the phone saying “hello” as if it’s their private line. There is nothing welcoming or inviting about their conduct when you check in. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache of staying here.
