Loved this place and most things about it. The pool is amazingly heated - I was swimming on Christmas and the days before. The restaurant is delicious and the staff are great. We stayed in an "upgraded room" due to being a globalist but there was literally nowhere to put clothes or stuff. The bed side "tables" were like semi-soft puff things so stuff would slide off. The closest is quite small and there was no dresser or anything to put clothes on/in. This is my only real complaint as it just made the room feel odd. As it should be, the restaurant was closed on Xmas but man the croissants they offered were absolutely phenomenal. Maybe the best I've had outside of a French place. It's super cute and a fun place to stay with a short walk down to the town.

This hotel is great, it’s very fun, nice pools, great staff, fun rooms. Very family friendly. The chef at the restaurant is so nice. He goes above and beyond, even offering to provide food items that they don’t keep in stock if I notify the hotel ahead of time. Amazing.||Only recommendation is to please offer microwaves in room, at least if requested. A little lacking in the area of providing things that people forget like mouthwash or asking for microwave but other than that excellent!||Plus: hot spring pools, fun rooms, games offered, tea and coffee, restaurant!

My daughter and I immensely enjoyed our stay at the Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa. The room was lovely and it was wonderfully easy for me to get around with my walker. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was lovely. Parking was easy and we were able to park in front of our room each night. The restaurant was fabulous and we highly recommend the butternut squash soup or any of the pizzas/salads. Every staff member that we interacted with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We didn’t use the spa facilities this trip or the pool (December ‘23).

We’ve stayed here many times before and absolutely loved it previously. Our stay was disappointing because the pools were lukewarm. I’ve stayed here in colder months before and have fun memories of the steam coming off the pools and feeling cozy. We went to swim in the hot springs pools and they were almost frigid. Sadly the hot tub was out of service so that wasn’t an option. When I called the front desk to see about the pool temperature she was very rude and told me I should have read the website that the hot tub wasn’t available. (I wasn’t actually upset about the hot tub, just sad that the pools were so cold—but she dismissed my concern and said the pools are the temp they should be.) We also got the “bed and breakfast” deal where you paid $35 more and breakfast was included. (Honestly we assumed it was a continental breakfast situation with coffee and pastries or something which would have been fine for our family of four.) I was told that it was actually per person. So we got breakfast for our family and just had $35 taken off the bill. That’s not a special or deal. The restaurant service was excellent but we didn’t care for the menu and would have just gone to another restaurant for breakfast had we realized the situation. It’s just a bummer as we really loved this place. They also don’t have any food available at lunch time just breakfast and dinnner. We will try out Dr Wilkinsons next time!

Quaint, clean, unpretentious, quiet spot to lay our heads as we continue our road trip. Plus that this is a Hyatt property. |We enjoyed our stay and recommend highly for the experience. |It’s a lodge so parking in outside your door no bell man etc. |Farmhouse restaurant on site has a good mix of vegan and non vegan options. Great drinks from the attached bar.

My husband and I just finished our second visit at Calistoga this past weekend. We first visited last December for our honeymoon and loved it! So we had to return! However, it has been taken over by Hyatt since then. We arrived and found out that their system never saved our reservation, even though I was receiving confirmation emails regarding my stay! However, the woman at the front desk made sure we had a room and it was a great upgrade to the new deluxe rooms. During our last stay, we did a king camper style room. The only issue then was the bathroom and shower was small, with a poorly situated shower curtain so it did flood a bit on the floor. The new deluxe rooms were nicer, bigger shower and bathroom with a door to enter the shower. I will say that I don’t think the mattresses are “queens” as advertised (for the deluxe double queen room), more like a double, so be aware if planning to share the bed with someone. We loved the heated pools in the evening time and the staff was great! The only downfall does seem to be the price of the lodging since the Hyatt took over. Much more expensive going this year, so beware. Otherwise, we continue to love this location!

My boyfriend and I booked a room here for our anniversary weekend and were disappointed by our experience. It looked so cute online and we were really excited for a weekend away but the overall quality of the stay was lacking. The pool was decent and the grounds were cute but the service wasn’t great and the room felt extremely dated with a surface level face lift. The shower wasn’t usable without flooding the bathroom and the room was constantly muggy and smelled stale. The walls are paper thin and we could hear a dog barking in the room next to us nonstop for hours both nights. We were also supposed to get a free bottle of wine and a voucher to the restaurant which weren’t honored upon check in. Overall, the grounds are nice but the rooms are extremely overpriced for what you get and there are so many great inns and hotels in the area for the same price or less.

Less than a mile from the Calistoga down town, but unfortunately the rooms left a lot to be desired. Basically repainted motel, appliances were fairly old or broken down, and the showers weren't able to get much hot water nor did the curtains close all the way. Biggest downside to the stay was the fact they did not inform us that the hot tub and some of the poolside amenities were out of order. This was a big let down as they are advertising them as if they are still open despite them being closed since May, and the natural springs are the main draw to the lodge. They offer rental bikes, but have a 2 hour time limit regardless of the time of day, so it's not very useful for going anywhere with them besides a ride around the block. Overall a very disappointing experience and not worth the price at all.
