We went to the California Coastal Trail near the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay on a weekday, as parking on the weekends can be almost impossible. It is a leisurely one-hour round-trip walk from the Miramonte Point Road parking lot near the hotel, along the golf course to the beach and back. The view is beautiful. You can breeze in the ocean breeze, see the castle-looking Ritz-Carlton and Pillar Point, and golfers along the way. Just go out and enjoy!
My husband & I enjoyed a short bike ride from our hotel and down towards the coast. Beautiful views, but I was not prepared to ride the bike back up a steep hill if I dared to ride down the trail.
Nice walk along the beach. Parking is a challenge. This beach is closed to Ritz Carlton hotel.
Super nice Pacific Osean view! Nice beach and flower as well. Whole area is not very big, some area are only open for Golfer. Limited parking. There are 2 washroom available. Highly recommended.
This section of very popular scenic coastal trail going thru golf link. Parking is limited and usually full by 10 on weekends. It's very close to stairs beach access and the picturesque Ritz Carlton section of trail. If you don't want to get up early on weekends, then park on Redondo road (parking lot is uneven ground). From there, 5 minutes walk to the left takes you enter Ritz Carlton section of coastal trail. About 10 minutes walk to your left is a rough beach access.
Flat paved trail makes biking a breeze ... but watch out for the hordes of pedestrians that often spread out across the entire width. As long as you don't plan on maintaining a brisk pace you'll be fine, however. Expansive views of the ocean, wildflowers, and pelicans flying in formation are a balm for the soul.
This was an easy hike for me. The trail was paved and there weren’t any steep inclines. The view from the trail was mediocre. I had my most fun when I went down to the beach. There’s a lot of secluded rocky pools and streams away from the shoreline filled with hermits, sea snails, crabs, and tiny fishes. It was my first time experiencing a beach like that so I spent hours checking the pools out. I wish I would’ve brought wet boots and a net to catch a pet fishy. Great time!
The California coastal trail is one most picturesque walks along the Pacific Ocean. The paved Trail Winds it’s way along and Parallel to the Cliffs high above the Pacific Ocean. With the well groomed golf greens and Monterey Pines on one side and the ocean on the other is creating memories you won’t soon forget. It’s a very easy and enjoyable walk

Beach was spotless. Water was cold lol. Kids were all over that water though. I remember those days when the water could be artic cold and I couldn't give a care. Just make sure when we get back into the vehicle, the heat is on hell please.
Empowered Fitness is the absolute best fitness program Iâve ever experienced. The classes are challenging and effective, the trainers knowledgeable and helpful, and the organization is so well run. Iâm grateful to be a part of the EF community.
Purisima Creek is a beautiful redwood forest with easy access from Skyline Blvd 35 and Half Moon Bay. This Open Space has a variety of trails with great views of rolling hills and green trees. When not foggy, you can clearly see the blue sea in Half
Dog friendly beach with very interesting tide pool ecosystem to discover. On the weekend there are families with children playing with sand, people collecting clams. We used the chance of low tide and walked to the other side (Rossâ Cove). It was q
Cowell Ranch Beach is beautiful. The trail to the beach is a 10 minute walk and the dirt/sand is mostly level. At the end of the trail there are stairs to get down to the beach. I came on a Saturday in the late afternoon and it wasnât crowded. I wa
Beautiful little historical inn. Pretty sure we were the only ones there that night! Rooms were precious and we loved the back patio. Beds were extremely comfortable. Within comfortable walking distance to Main Street, and you get a breakfast voucher
Great parking spot which I think is less popular than the south one. Walking southward on the California Coastal trail youâll pass by Ritz Carlton, which has some good scenic spots.
